KMRL Recruitment 2023: Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) is a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Kerala established for the implementation and operation of the Kochi Metro Rail project. KMRL is currently seeking to hire a Chief Project Manager on a re-employment basis to head the projects in Thiruvananthapuram. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing large construction projects, especially those related to the rail industry. As per KMRL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the position requires a minimum of 22 years of experience in civil construction in engineering industries, out of which at least 8 years should be in handling rail-related projects. The consolidated pay for the Chief Project Manager will be Rs. 1,40,000/- per month or a suitable consolidated pay commensurate to the last pay drawn by them, as per KMRL’s extant rules. The maximum age limit for the position is 62 years as of 1st March 2023.
KMRL is also inviting applications for the post of IT Consultant/IT Advisor on a consultancy/advisory basis for a period of one year, which is extendable for an additional period of one year, subject to consistent good performance, conduct, and requirement. As per KMRL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Science/Arts/Commerce and a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in IT advisory roles or related positions, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality advice/consultancy on IT solutions and services. Chief Project Manager:
Experience: Minimum 22 years of experience in planning, design, and/or Civil Construction in engineering industries out of which a minimum of 8 years in the planning, design, and/or handling Rail related projects. Preference will be given to those candidates who have independently handled planning, design, and/or execution of the Civil works in rail-related projects and have dealt with contract management, DPR Preparation of metro rail projects, Co-ordination with State Govt./Local Body Authorities, Land Acquisition etc.
IT Consultant/IT Advisor:
Experience: The candidate should have at least 5 years of practical experience in IT advisory roles or related positions, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality advice/consultancy on IT solutions and services. The candidate should possess practical experience in managing web applications, mobile applications, cloud infrastructure, server & client management, security auditing and implementation, infrastructure management, and other latest/emerging technologies such as Block chain, Data analysis, Machine Learning, etc.
Technical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in areas such as IT strategy development, IT governance, IT risk management, IT service management, and digital transformation, IT security.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.
Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of Industry Trends: Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in the IT industry, including emerging technologies, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively, coach team members, and mentor junior staff.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, PMP, or Agile/Scrum will be added.
As per KMRL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the salary will be paid to selected candidates is as given below:
Chief Project Manager: The candidate selected on re-employment shall be given a consolidated pay of Rs.1,40,000/- per month or suitable consolidated pay commensurate to the last pay drawn by them; as per KMRL extant rules.
IT Consultant/IT Advisor: The monthly Compensation will be commensurate with his/her experience/ credentials, last drawn CTC, etc. but will be not more than Rs. 60,000/- all-inclusive.
