Maruti Suzuki Receives Rs 11,825 Million Income Tax Demand Order
Maruti Suzuki India Limited, India’s largest automobile manufacturer, primarily focused on the manufacturing, sale, and export of passenger vehicles, recently issued a disclosure, addressed to the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited, regarding receipt of a demand order.
The disclosure was made by Maruti Suzuki India Limited under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Through which the company informed about the receipt of the demand order on January 23, 2026.
The company added that it has received a final Assessment order having a total demand, including interest, of Rs 11,825 million by the Income Tax Authority.
The company also added that it will further take appropriate steps to file an appeal against the order. Lastly, the company said that this order does not have any impact on financial, operational, or other activities of the company.
