MEITy Recruitment 2023: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITy) has called in Applications from the Experienced and Dynamic Officers meeting the Eligibility in reference to filling up the Post Director General in the National Informatics Center (NIC). The MEITy notified 01 Post Director General is entitled to the Pay Scale Level 15 of the Pay Matrix (Rs.182200 to Rs.224100) by Promotion/Deputation (Including Short-Term Contract)/Direct Recruitment Basis vide MEITy Recruitment 2023 Notification.

Among the Eligible and those Willing to submit their respective Candidacy/ies, may apply in the Prescribed Specimen Application Format together with the Attested Facsimiles of the Essential Certificates pertaining to Educational Qualification, Matriculations and all other Documents / Testimonials within 60 Days from the Date of issuance of the MEITy Recruitment 2023 Advertisement in the Employment News. The Last Date for the Eligible and Willing Officials is 12th March 2023 (12.03.2023).

Pay Scale Level under MEITy Recruitment 2023:

Pay Scale: Level 15 (Rs.182200-Rs.224100) in the Pay Matrix

The Officer, post-Selection as Director General shall be issued Appointment with Entitlement to the Pay Scale Level mentioned hereinabove vide the MEITy Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.

Age Limit under MEITy Recruitment 2023:

The Maximum Age Limit in respect of the Applicants (as on 12.03.2023) for Appointment by Deputation (ISTC) shall not exceed 58 Years, the Closing Date for Receipt of Applications.

Relaxation in the Upper Age Limits for Reserved Community Candidates shall be in compliance with the Central Government Rules.

Eligibility Criteria for MEITy Recruitment 2023:

A: Deputation:

The Officers of the Central Government/State Government/Public Sector Undertaking/ Autonomous Bodies:

a.i) holding Analogous Post(s) on Regular Basis; Or

ii) with 03-Years’ Regular Service in the Pay Level 14 and

b) having in possession the Qualifications and experience prescribed for Direct Recruits.

B) All India Service Officers with 03-Years’ Regular Service in the Pay Scale Level 14 after Empanelment of their Batch at the Centre and with 05-Years’ Experience in the E-Governance Domain.

The National Informatics Centre Scientist ‘G’ in the Pay Scale Level 14 with 03-Years’ Regular Service in the Grade shall be considered together with the External Officers and in event of Selection for Appointment, the Post shall be deemed to have filled by Promotion.

Note: The Deputation Period (Including Short-Term Contract) including the Deputation (ISTC) in another Ex-Cadre Post held immediately preceding this Appointment in Similar or Other Organization/Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 05 (Five) Years.

B) ii) Direct Recruitment: Up to 50 Years (Relaxable for the Government Servants up to 05-Years in accordance with the Instructions/Orders issued by the Central Government from time to time).

Essential Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering /Technology from any Accredited University/Institute /M.Sc.(Electronics/Applied Electronics)/Masters’ Degree in Computer Applications or M.Sc.(Computer Science/Information Technology).

Desirable Educational Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology /Philosophiae Doctor/Doctorate Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics.

Experience: i) In respect of the Government Servants, 25-Years’ Experience in the Domain of Information Technology/System Implementation/E-Governance.

ii) 25-Years’ Experience (for Non-Government Servants) in the Domain of Information Technology/System Implementation/E-Governance, of which Minimum 05-Years as:

a) The Chief Executive of any Information Technology-related Organization during the preceding 10 Years.

b) The Director/Head of the Department of any Accredited Academic Institution, engaged in Education or Research in the Information Technology Domain.

Selection Criteria under MEITy Recruitment 2023:

The Selection/Appointment Methodology for the Post Director General in the National Informatics Centre (NIC) entails with the Promotion/ Deputation (Including Short-Term Contract)/Direct Recruitment Basis involved therein.

Deputation Tenure: The Tenure of Deputation including the Deputation Period in another Ex-Cadre Post held immediately preceding this Appointment in Similar or other Organization or Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 05 (Five) Years.
