MHC Recruitment 2023: The Puducherry Judicial Service has announced a direct recruitment drive for the post of Civil Judge. The recruitment is being carried out as per the provisions under the Puducherry Judicial Service (Cadre and Recruitment) Rules, 2008, as amended. As per MHC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the total number of vacancies available for the post of Civil Judge in the Puducherry Judicial Service is 19, including the backlog vacancies. Interested candidates need to apply before the last date of submission of the online application, which is 01/04/2023.

As per MHC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the recruitment process comprises a Preliminary Examination, a Main Written Examination, and a Viva-Voce. The Preliminary Examination is scheduled on 03/06/2023, the Main Written Examination is scheduled on 05/08/2023 and 06/08/2023 and the Viva-Voce will commence from 09/10/2023 onwards. 

As per MHC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the eligibility criteria include certain age limits, educational qualifications and experience requirements. Candidates who have completed their law graduation and have not crossed 27 years of age are eligible to apply. However, for the candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC categories, the upper age limit is relaxed up to 5 years. Moreover, practicing advocates, leaders, and assistant public prosecutors should have completed a minimum of 25 years of age, while the maximum age limit is 40 years for SC, ST and OBC categories and 35 years for others.

As per MHC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the Puducherry Judicial Service has announced a direct recruitment drive for the post of Civil Judge. The total number of vacancies available is 19.

Age Limit for MHC Recruitment 2023:

As per MHC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the age limit for direct recruitment to the post of Civil Judge in the Puducherry Judicial Service has been provided in the notification. For practicing advocates, pleaders, and assistant public prosecutors, the minimum age should have been completed by 25 years, while the maximum age should not have been completed by 35 years for candidates other than SC, ST, and OBC categories. However, for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories, the maximum age limit is relaxable by 5 years, which means the maximum age limit is 40 years for these categories.

For fresh law graduates, the minimum age should have been completed by 22 years, and the maximum age should not have been completed by 27 years for all categories of candidates.

It is important to note that the age limit is as of 01.07.2023, and candidates must ensure that they fulfill the age criteria before filling up the online application. The eligibility of candidates regarding age limit will be verified during the selection process, and those who do not fulfill the age criteria will be deemed ineligible for the position.

Educational Qualification for MHC Recruitment 2023:

As per MHC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the essential qualifications required for the Civil Judge post in the Puducherry Judicial Service are stated in the given article. The eligibility criteria for the post vary depending on the category of candidates. For Practising Advocates/Pleaders/Assistant Public Prosecutors, the applicant should be an Indian citizen and possess a degree in Law from a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a State Act, or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or any other equivalent qualification. Furthermore, the applicant must be enrolled as an Advocate under a State Bar Council established under the Advocates Act, 1961, and should be practicing as an Advocate or Pleader in the High Court or Courts subordinate thereto for a minimum of three years on the date of the High Court’s Notification for recruitment to the post. Alternatively, the candidate can be an Assistant Public Prosecutor with not less than three years of experience as an Advocate and/or Assistant Public Prosecutor on the date of notification.

For Fresh Law Graduates, the applicant must be a fresh Law Graduate possessing a degree in Law from a recognized University, who is eligible to be enrolled as an Advocate, and who has secured an overall percentage of 50% marks in acquiring such a Law Degree in case of open categories and 45% marks in respect of other reserved categories. Fresh Law graduates are those who have obtained the Degree of Law within a period of three years prior to the date of notification.

 

Salary for MHC Recruitment 2023:

As per MHC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the pay scale for the post of Civil Judge in the Puducherry Judicial Service is as follows:

Pay scale: Rs. 27,700 – 770 – 33,090 – 920 – 40450 – 1080 – 44,770

It is important to note that this pay scale is subject to revision as per the rules and regulations of the Puducherry Judicial Service.

The examination fee for the application is Rs. 2,000. However, fee exemption is applicable for all women candidates, persons with disabilities, and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories.
