BEL Recruitment 2023: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a premier Indian public limited company in Professional Electronics, has released a recruitment advertisement inviting applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Trainee Engineer – I and Project Engineer – I for its CRL-Ghaziabad Unit. BEL is looking to fill a total of 38 vacancies, with 12 vacancies for Trainee Engineer – I and 26 vacancies for Project Engineer – I.
Candidates interested in applying for these positions must have a B.E/B. Tech degree in Computer Science or an equivalent course from a recognized institute/university/college. As per BEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the upper age limit for Trainee Engineer – I is 28 years, while it is 32 years for Project Engineer – I, as on 01.01.2023. BEL is offering a consolidated remuneration package of Rs. 30,000/-, Rs. 35,000/- and Rs. 40,000/- for the first, second and third year of the Trainee Engineer – I position, respectively. The Project Engineer – I position will offer a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 40,000/-, Rs. 45,000/-, Rs. 50,000/-, and Rs. 55,000/- for the first, second, third, and fourth year, respectively. In addition, eligible candidates will receive area allowances, insurance premiums, attire allowances, stitching charges, footwear allowances, etc., based on the position applied for.
The engagement of the Trainee Engineers – I will initially be for a period of two years, which may be extended up to a maximum of three years based on project requirements and individual performance. Project Engineers – I will be engaged initially for a period of three years, which may be extended up to a maximum of four years based on project requirements and individual performance. Trainee Engineer– I: There are 12 vacancies available for the Trainee Engineer – I post, with reservations for UR (Unreserved) – 7, OBC (Other Backward Classes) – 3, EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) – 1, and SC (Scheduled Caste) – 1 candidate.
Project Engineer– I: There are 26 vacancies available for the Project Engineer – I post, with reservations for UR – 13, OBC – 7, EWS – 2, SC – 3, and ST (Scheduled Tribe) – 1 candidate.
As per BEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the available positions, along with their required qualifications, minimum post-qualification experience, and upper age limits as of January 1st, 2023, are as follows:
Trainee Engineer– I: The minimum post-qualification experience required for this post is 1 year in C++, Java, Algorithm Development, and Software (SW) Documentation. The candidate should have completed a 4-year B.E/B.Tech course in Computer Science or its equivalent from a recognized university/institution/college, with 55% and above marks for GEN/EWS/OBC candidates and Pass Class for SC/ST/PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates.
Project Engineer– I: The minimum post-qualification experience required for this post is 2 years in C++, Java, SW Testing, SW Documentation, Python, etc. The candidate should have completed a 4-year B.E/B.Tech course in Computer Science from a recognized university/institution/college, with 55% and above marks for GEN/EWS/OBC candidates and Pass Class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

As per BEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the consolidated remuneration per month for the first year will be Rs. 30,000/-. Additionally, candidates who are posted to various sites and customer locations will receive an area allowance of 10% of the consolidated remuneration per month. Other benefits payable include Rs. 12,000/- per year towards insurance premiums, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc.
For the second year, the consolidated remuneration will be Rs. 35,000/- per month, and for the third year, it will be Rs. 40,000/- per month. It is important to note that the additional benefits payable may change based on the company’s policies and regulations.
As per BEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selection process for the vacancies at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) consists of a written test followed by an interview. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria specified in the advertisement will be eligible to appear for the written test. The written test will carry 85% of the total marks, while the interview will carry 15% of the total marks.
Candidates who pass the written test will be shortlisted for the interview in a ratio of 1:5 based on their merit, category, and discipline. The names of the candidates shortlisted for the written test/interview and the final selection will be published on the company’s website.

The fee should be remitted through SBI Collect (online), and candidates must read the details and screenshots for making the payment.
General, EWS, and OBC candidates have to enter the “SBI Collect reference No.” generated after payment in the Application Form. Candidates should check the link given on the BEL website regarding instructions for making SBI online payments. Candidates must go through all the instructions and eligibility criteria carefully before remitting the application fee as the fee once paid will not be refunded. If a candidate applies for both posts, Trainee Engineer and Project Engineer, the application fee should be remitted separately for each post.
