Age Limit: Not exceeding 56 Years according to the Government of India Rules.
Based on the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Eligibility comprising the Specific Criteria, Educational Qualification and, the Experience Applicable has explained hereunder:
Specific Requirement: The Officials under the Central Government or State Government Or Union Territories Or Public Sector Undertaking Or Agricultural Universities Or Recognized Research Institutions Or Councils Or Semi-Government Or Autonomous Or Statutory Organizations
A) Specific Requirements: The Officers of All India Services and Other Group ‘A’ Organized Central Services, holding the Joint Secretary Post of those Emapaneled for Appointment as Joint Secretary under the Government of India With
A.i) holding Analogous Post(s) on a Regular Basis in the Parent Cadre or Department; Or
ii) with 05 Years’ Regular Service in the Grade rendered post Appointment thereto on a Regular Basis in the Post(s) in Pay Band-3 (Rs. 15600-39100) Plus Grade Pay Rs 5400 in Pay Level 10 in the Pay Matrix recommended by 7th CPC); Or
ii) with 07 Years’ Regular Service in the Grade rendered post Appointment thereto on a Regular Basis in the Post(s) in Pay Band-2 (Rs. 9300-34800) Plus Grade Pay Rs 4600 in Pay Level 07 in the Pay Matrix recommended by 7th CPC) With
A.b) the following Educational Qualifications and Experience in possession
Essential
(i) Master’s Degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Extension from any Accredited University Or Institute;
(ii) 05 Years’ Experience in Agricultural Extension including Farm Communication.
Desirable:
i) A Degree or Diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication from any Duly Recognised University.
ii) Experience of handling work relating to Agricultural Information, Mass Media, Farm Extension Literature, Agriculture Exhibitions, Production of Audio Visual materials relating to the Topics on Agriculture and Agricultural Films.
Appointment on the Joint Director Post shall be carried through by Deputation (Including Short-Term Contractual) Term. The Deputation Tenure shall not exceed 04 Years.
Appointment Term: The Deputation Period (ISTC) Including the Period of Deputation (Including Short-Term Contractual) Period in another Ex-Ccadre Post held immediately preceding this Appointment in the Similar or some other Organization or Department of the Central Government, shall ordinarily not exceed 04 Years. The Maximum Age Limit for Appointment by Deputation (ISTC) is 56 Years as on the Closing Date of receipt of Applications.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, duly completed Applications in respect of the Eligible Officers with Desire, who might be spared in the event of their Selection, should be sent through Proper Channel.
