Ministry of Commerce and Industry Recruitment 2023: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), Government of India has invited Applications from Retired Officers Eligible for the Contractual Engagement of Consultant in the Department of Commerce vide the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Recruitment 2023 Official Notification Dated 31.03.2023. According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, Willing and Eligible Employees having retired from Personal Secretary (PS)/Principal Private Secretary (PPS) may apply in the Prescribed Application Proforma.
As per the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, there are 08 Vacancies to be filled up with Appointment into Consultants. All Eligible Candidates with Willingness/Desire for Engagement Opportunity for Engagement into Contractual Consultant may submit duly completed Applications through E-Mail well in time preferably up to 17.04.2023, the Last Date.
Based on the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, there are 08 Vacancies to be filled up:

Engagement Terms: Contractual Appointment shall be initially for 01 Year, which may be extended or curtained as per the Requirement and Satisfactory Performance of the Consultant. The Term of Appointment shall not be extended beyond 05 Years after Superannuation.
According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Recruitment 2023, the Consultant shall be paid a Fixed Monthly Amount calculated as Last Pay Drawn (Basic Pay) Minus Basic Pension Plus Transport Allowance (Applicable at Retirement) Retired Government Servant engaged as Consultant shall continue to draw Pension and Dearness Relied on Pension during the Contractual Engagement Tenure as Consultant. The Appointed Consultant’s Engagement shall not be considered as a case of Re-employment.
According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the Maximum Age Limit on the Closing Date of the Notification; i.e., 17.04.2023.
Maximum Age: 63 Years. Physical Fitness (Sound Health)
Based on the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Willing and Eligible Officers having retired from Personal Secretary (PS)/Principal Private Secretary (PPS) from the Central Government Ministries/Departments should apply in the Prescribed Application Format.
Desirable Proficiency:
i) The Applicant should have Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills with Knowledge of Stenography (preferably in English) and should be well-conversant with Noting/Drafting.
ii) The Applicant should have a fair knowledge of Computer Applications; viz., MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point.
According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Recruitment 2023 Official Notification Selection into Consultant Positions shall be carried out by Interview. Only Shortlisted Candidates will be called in for Interviews. The Terms and Conditions for Engagement of the Selected Consultants; including Remuneration, Eligibility, etc. shall be regulated by the Department of Expenditure Office Memorandum No. 3-25/2020-E-IIIA Dated 9th December 2020 explained in this UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification issued.
