Ministry of Finance Issues 2025 Recruitment Rules for Assistant Director
The Ministry of Finance recently shared a notification (No. F. No. A-12018/5/2022-Ad.ED-DOR) regarding the Directorate of Enforcement recruitment rules.
The President of India, using the powers given under Article 309 of the Constitution, has made new rules for how people will be recruited to the post of Assistant Director (Official Language) in the Directorate of Enforcement, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.
These new rules replace the Recruitment Rules of 2017, except for actions that were already taken under those old rules before the new ones came into effect. These rules will be known as the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Directorate of Enforcement, Assistant Director (Official Language), Group 'A' Post, Recruitment Rules, 2025. The following are the rules:
Name of the Post: Assistant Director (Official Language)
Number of Posts: There are three vacancies, but this number may change depending on workload.
Classification: General Central Service, Non-Ministerial, Group ‘A’, Gazetted
Pay Level: Level 10 (Rs 56,100 to Rs 177,500)
Selection Post: The Candidate is chosen based on merit/selection process, not automatically by seniority.
Age Limit for Direct Recruitment: There is no direct recruitment for this post.
Educational Qualification for Direct Recruits: Because people are not directly recruited, the qualification rules for direct recruitment are not applicable.
Whether Age/Education Rules Apply to Promotees: Not Applicable, since this job is filled by promotion or deputation, these conditions don’t apply.
Disqualification: A person cannot be appointed to this job if:
- They marry someone who already has a husband or wife, or
- They marry another person while their own husband or wife is still alive.
