As per Ministry of Home Affairs recruitment 2023 official notification, they are hiring for the post of Director and Deputy Director and there are a total of 14 vacancies available for these post.

The name of the first post is Director and there are also a total of 07 vacancies available for this post. The vacancies are further divided into different categories such as Director (Admin & Vigilance), Director (Legal), Director (I4C-I), Director ([4C-I]}, Director (I4C-III), Director (I4C-IV) and Director ([4C-V)].

The mode of recruitment for the post of Director is deputation (including short-term contract).

The name of the second post is Deputy Director and there are also a total of 07 vacancies available for this post. The vacancies are divided into different categories such as Deputy Director (Administration & Procurement), Deputy Director (Finance), Deputy Director (4C-]), Deputy Director (I4C-I]), Deputy Director (14C-II), Deputy Director (I4C-IV) and Deputy Director (I4C-V)]. The pay scale for the post of Deputy Director is Level-11 in the pay matrix. The mode of recruitment for the post of Deputy Director is also deputation (including short-term contract).

Eligibility for the post of Director:

  • The candidate should be an officer of the Central Government State Government Union territories or autonomous or statutory organization or public sector undertakings or a university or recognized research institution.
  • The candidate should be holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department or with five years’ service rendered after appointment thereto in Level-12 in the pay matrix or equivalent on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department.
  • The candidate should possess a degree in any stream or degree in law from a recognized University or institute.
  • The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the relevant area of expertise.

Additional eligibility requirements for each post are as follows:

  1. Director (Admin & Vigilance): The candidate should have experience in public administration, office administration, vigilance, public procurement, internal security, public order/handling multi-agency coordination.
  2. Director (Legal): The candidate should have experience in dealing with cases involving cybercrime and must possess experience as a legal advisor in Government organisation, prosecutor or a judicial officer.
  3. Director (I4C-I): The candidate should have a minimum of four years’ experience in cybercrime or cyber threat analysis or internal security or e-governance or public policy or information and communication technology or cybercrime investigation or investigation or cybercrime forensics or forensics or training in the field of cybercrime or internal security or research and development or cyber research or information and communication technology or e-governance and allied field.
  4. Director (I4C-II): The candidate should have a minimum of four years’ experience in cybercrime or cyber threat analysis or internal security or e-governance or public policy or information and communication technology or cybercrime investigation or investigation or cybercrime forensics or forensics or training in the field of cybercrime or internal security or research and development or cyber research or information and communication technology or e-governance and allied field.
  5. Director (I4C-III): The candidate should have a minimum of four years’ experience in cybercrime or cyber threat analysis or internal security or e-governance or public policy or information and communication technology or cybercrime investigation or investigation or cybercrime forensics or forensics or training in the field of cybercrime or internal security or research and development or cyber research or information and communication technology or e-governance and allied field.
  6. Director (I4C-IV): The candidate should have a minimum of four years’ experience in cybercrime or cyber threat analysis or internal security or e-governance or public policy or information and communication technology or cybercrime investigation or investigation or cybercrime forensics or forensics or training in the field of cybercrime or internal security or research and development or cyber research or information and communication technology or e-governance and allied field.
  7. Director (I4C-V): The candidate should have experience in the national cyber research and innovation centre by leveraging the strength and expertise of all the stakeholders i.e. academia, private sector or inter-governmental organizations etc. and create strategic partnerships with all such entities in the area of research and innovations focused on cybercrimes.

Salary for Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023:

As per Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 official notification,  the pay scale is Level-13 in the pay matrix for the post of Director, and For the post of Deputy Director, the pay scale is Level-11 in the pay matrix. Both posts are filled through deputation, including short-term contracts.

Application Process for Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023:

As per Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 official notification, the circular requests wide publicity to be given to the vacancy circular among staff under administrative control. It also requires applications, in duplicate, to be sent to the Under Secretary (Ad-V), Ministry of Home Affairs, along with vigilance & cadre clearance and attested copies of complete and up-to-date ACRs of the last five years of the officers who can be spared in the event of their selection, within a period of 60 days from the date of publication of the circular in the Employment News.

Applications received after the last date or without copies of ACRs or otherwise found incomplete will not be considered. Additionally, it is required that the particulars furnished by the officers are correct and no disciplinary case is either pending or contemplated against him/her. The integrity of the Officer may also please be certified and it may be confirmed that no major/minor penalties have been imposed on him/her during the last ten years.
