Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has called in Applications from the Candidates Eligible for Recruitment for the Assistant Controller of Mines Post in the Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM). According to the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Notification issued, there are 47 Vacancies for Indian Bureau of Mines Post under the Pay Scale Level 10 to be filled up with the Appointment of the Appropriately Suitable Candidates on the Assistant Controller of Mines Posts notified in the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Notification issued by the Union Public Service Commission.
Based on the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Assistant Controller of Mines in the Indian Bureau of Mines shall be filled under the Pay Scale Level 10 in the Pay Matrix. Eligible Individuals with the Willingness may complete the Online Recruitment Application Process by following the Instructions. The Last Date for the Eligible Candidates to complete the Online Application Process is 2nd March 2023 (02.03.2023) notified in the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.
According to the UPSC issued Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, there are 47 Vacancies to be filled up.

As per the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Notification, Post-Selection, the Candidates shall be issued Appointment with Entitlement to the Pay Scale 10 mentioned hereunder:
Pay Scale: Level-10 (Rs.56100-Rs. 177500) of Pay Matrix under 7th CPC
As per the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Notification, following Category-wise and Reserved Community-specific Age Limits are prescribed:
1) The Un-Reserved Applicant should not exceed (Maximum) 35 Years as on the Closing Date 02.02.2023.
2) The Upper Age Limit remains Relaxable for Regularly Appointed Central Government/Union Territory Government Servants up to 05 Years as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.
3) For Age Concessions applicable to some other Categories of Applicants (Refer to the relevant Paragraphs of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection’) of the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.
4) Relaxation in the Upper Age Limits for Reserved Community as per the India Government Rules.
As per the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, the Eligibility comprising the Educational Qualification(s) and Experience Essential for the Applicants explained is following:
A) Educational Qualification and Experience:
A.I) Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in Mining Engineering from any Accredited University/Institution.
II) 03 Years’ Experience in Core Mining activity in the following:
a) Managerial Position in Metalliferous (Non-Coal) Mines, which includes the Period as Graduate/Management/Junior Trainee Engineer; Or
b) Government Department dealing with the Mines and Minerals in Pay Level 07 in the Pay Matrix (Rs 44900-142400) or above; Or
B.i) Master of Engineering/Technology in Mining Engineering from any Accredited University/Institution.
ii.a) 01-Year’s Experience in Core Mining activity in-Managerial Position in Metalliferous (Non-Coal) Mines, including the Period as Graduate/ Management or Junior Trainee Engineer; Or
b) Government Department dealing with the Mines and Minerals in the Pay Level 07 in the Pay Matrix (Rs 44900-142400) or above.
Note:
i) The Educational Qualifications, in the case of Candidates otherwise well-qualified at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission are relaxable.
ii) The Qualification(s), in the case of the Candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/the Scheduled Tribes, regarding Experience , if any, is/are relaxable, at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, if at any stage of Selection, the Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of Candidates from these Communities with the Requisite Experience are not likely to be available to fill up the Vacancies reserved for them.
The Union Public Service Commission shall carry through the Recruitment Test Selection and Other Criteria notified for Assistant Controller of Mines under the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 and also explained hereunder:
Recruitment Methodology:
In the event of the Applications received relatively in a large number from Applicants, the Union Public Service Commission will adopt the Shortlisting Criteria aimed at restricting the number of only Eligible Candidates to be called in for the Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:
a) “Based on the Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs) if more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.
b) On the basis of Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Notification.
c) Based on Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.
d) By reckoning the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquiring Essential Qualifications of the Candidate Applicants.
e) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as Desirable Qualification (DQ).
f) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).
Note-II: Important Points:
Viva-voce/Personality Test carries Total 100 Marks explained hereunder:
i) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is conducted only through Interview or by holding a Recruitment Test (RT) to be followed by the Interview, shall remain as hereunder:
a) Un-Reserved Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks to be secured out of Aggregate 100 Marks
b) Economically Weaker Sections 50 Marks
c) Other Backward Community: 45 Marks
d) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste/Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBD/s): 40 Marks.
ii) In cases where Selection is carried through by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will have to attain the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories in the course of the Interview Stage.
a) The General Category/EWS/OBC Candidates shall have to pay the Application Fee Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five only) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India in Cash or by using the Net-Banking Facility of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card Payment Gateway.
b) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBDs) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempted from the Application Fee.
As has been notified in the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Candidates should complete the Online Application Process following the Instructions therein:
Note-I: As has been notified in the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Notification, while completing the Online Application Process, all the Eligible Candidates should furnish their respective Qualifications and Experience in the appropriate/relevant Field(s) over and above the Minimum Qualifications in Online Recruitment Applications available on the UPSC ORA Link also mentioned in the subsequent Part of the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Notification.
i) Eligible and Willing Candidates should visit the USPC ORA Website for completing the Online Application Process.
ii) Carefully Read the Online Application/Registration Instructions available on the UPSC ORA Portal.
iii) Initiate the Online Application Process as per the Instructions on the Online Registration Application Portal.
iv) Upload Scanned Signature, Photograph for uploading with Online Registered Application.
v) Upload Self-attested Documents on the UPSC Online Registration of Application.
vi) Remit the Application Fee Online through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking, etc. Payment Gateway.
