Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has sought Online Applications from the Applicants  Eligible for the Assistant Ore Dressing Officer (AODO) Post in the Indian Bureau of Mines, Ministry of Mines, Government of India through the UPSC issued Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.  The Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Official Notification narrates 22 Vacancies to be filled up under General Central Service Group A’ Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) Post Classification. Notified 22 Vacancies are Inclusive of 11 Posts earmarked for Un-Reserved Category Candidates shall be filled up under the Pay Matrix Level 10.  According to the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, all Intending Eligible Candidates may complete the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) Process well ahead of the Closing Date 13.04.2023 following the Instructions prescribed therein.

According to the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Assistant Ore Dressing Officer Post in the Indian Bureau of Mines, Ministry of Mines is to be filled up in Pay Scale Level 10 of the Pay Matrix of 7th Central Pay Commission.

Pay Matrix Level for Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023:

As is notified vide the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Assistant Ore Dressing Officers, post-Selection,  shall be issued Appointments under the Pay Matrix Level as follows:

Pay Matrix: Level-10 (7th CPC)

Upper Age Limits under Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023:

As per the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Un-Reserved Category Candidates should be aged as hereunder:

1) The Un-Reserved Applicant should not exceed 35 Years as on 13.04.2023, the Closing Date.

2) The Upper Age Limitation remains Relaxable for Regularly Appointed Central Government/Union Territory Government Servants up to 05 Years as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.

3) For Age Concessions applicable to some other Categories of Applicants, do refer to the relevant Paragraphs of the “Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection” of the UPSC issued Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.

Eligibility Criteria for the USPC Recruitment 2023:

The Eligibility comprising the Educational Qualification(s) and Experience essential as per the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Official Notification for the Applicants are as follows:

Essential Qualification(s):

Willing Candidates with Eligibility should have the Eligibility comprising the Educational Qualifications and Mandatory Experience narrated hereunder:

A) Educational Qualification: 

Post-Graduation/Master’s Degree in Ore Dressing/Mineral Processing/Geology/Physics/Chemistry from any Duly Recognized University/Equivalent Institute; Or

Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology Degree in Mineral Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Metallurgy from any Duly Recognized University/Institute.

B) Desirable Experience: 03 Years’ Experience in conducting Mineral Beneficiation/Mineral characterization for Beneficiation of various Ores and Minerals from any Duly Recognized Laboratory/Beneficiation Plant.

Desirable Qualification(s): Doctorate Degree in Ore Dressing/ Geology/Mineral Processing/Physics/Chemistry from any Duly Accredited University Or Equivalent Institute. (Or)

Post-Graduation/Master of Technology in Mineral Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Metallurgy from any Duly Recognized University Or Equivalent Institute.

Note: The Qualifications and the Qualification in reference to the Experience in case of Candidates, otherwise well-qualified, are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission.

Selection Criteria under Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023:

According to the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Official Notification issued, the Union Public Service Commission shall carry out the Recruitment Test Selection and Other Criteria also explained hereunder:

Recruitment Methodology:

In the event of the Applications received relatively in a large number from the Applicants, the Union Public Service Commission will adopt the Shortlisting Criteria to restrict the number to only Eligible Candidates to be called in for the Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:

a) “Based on the Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs) if more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.

b) On the basis of Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum prescribed in the UPSC issued Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Notification.

c) Based on Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.

d) By reckoning the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquiring Essential Qualifications of the Applicants.

e) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as Desirable Qualification (DQ).

f) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).

Note-II: Important Points – Minimum Qualifying Marks:

Viva-voce/Personality Test carries Total 100 Marks explained hereunder:

i) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is conducted only through Interview or by holding a Recruitment Test (RT) to be followed by the Interview, shall remain as hereunder:

a) Un-Reserved Category Candidates to secure Minimum Qualifying 50% Marks out of Aggregate 100 Marks

b) Economically Weaker Section Candidates: 50 Marks

c) Other Backward Community Candidates: 45 Marks

d) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste/Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBD/s): 40 Marks.

ii) In cases where Selection is carried through by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will have to attain the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories in the course of the Interview Stage.

Application Fee for Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023:

Following is the Category-wise Application Fee and Payment Gateway for remittance by the Applicants:

I) The General Category/EWS/OBC Candidates shall have to pay the Application Fee Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five only) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India in Cash or by using the Net-Banking Facility of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card Payment Gateway.

II) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBDs) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempted from payment of the Application Fee.

How to Apply for Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023:

According to the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Eligible Candidates with Desire, Online Recruitment Application is Mandatory

i) Eligible and Willing Candidates should visit the USPC ORA Website to complete the Online Recruitment Application Process Formalities.

ii) Carefully Read the Online Application/Registration Instructions available on the UPSC ORA Portal.

iii) Initiate the Online Application Process as per the Instructions on the Online Registration Application Portal.

iv) Upload Scanned Signature, Photograph for uploading with Online Recruitment Application.

v) Upload Self-attested Documents on the UPSC Online Registration of Application.

vi) Remit the Application Fee Online through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking, etc.
