MoF Announces Date and Exam Pattern for Customs Brokers Licensing Exam 2026

The online written examination for the Customs Brokers Licensing Examination for 2026, as advertised on August 25, 2025, is scheduled to be held on March 17, 2026. The Ministry of Finance recently shared a press release on January 23, 2026, regarding the same.

MoF added that, the exam will be computer-based with multiple-choice questions (MCQs) . The questions will be in both English and Hindi (i.e., bilingual), and candidates can choose to answer in either language.

The examination carry total 150 questions. The time duration of the exam is two and a half hours, from 10:30 hrs to 13:00 hrs. Each correct answer will carry +3 marks, while -1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

The maximum score of the exam is 450 marks, and candidates must secure at least 270 marks (60%) to qualify.

Candidates must also take an oral exam, as required under Regulation 6 of the Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations, 2018 (as amended). To pass the oral exam, candidates need to score 60% for oral exam.
