NHAI Recruitment 2023: National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is inviting applications from eligible Indian candidates for the Manager (Rajbhasha), Hindi Officer and Chief General Manager positions on a contract or deputation basis. As per the NHAI Recruitment 2023 official notification, there are 08 vacancies. Selected candidates for the post of Chief General Manager (Technical) will be appointed for a tenure of 03 years which may be extended for another 01 year with the approval of the chairman. The period of deputation, including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/department, shall ordinarily be 03 years, which may be extended for another 02 years with the approval of the Chairman, NHAI. Further, extension beyond the 5th year and up to a maximum of 10 years shall be with the approval of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, subject to satisfactory performance.

Selected candidates for the post of Chief General Manager (Technical) will get a monthly salary of PB-4 (Rs.37400-67000) with Grade Pay Rs.10000 (pre-revised), equivalent to Pay Level-14 (Rs.144200-218200) of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC and for all other posts selected candidates will get monthly salary on PB-3, (Rs.15600- 39100) with Grade Pay Rs.5400 [equivalent to Level 10 in Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC]. Manager (Rajbhasha)
Candidates should have a Master’s degree from a recognized University or equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level, OR Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in English with Hindi as a subject at the degree level, OR Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with Hindi and English as subjects at the degree level, OR Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with English Medium and Hindi as a subject at the degree level, OR Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with English Medium and Hindi as a subject at the degree level. Candidates should have Eight years of experience in using/applying terminology (terminological work) in Hindi and translation work from English to Hindi or vice-versa, preferably of technical or scientific literature.
Hindi Officer
Candidates should have a Master’s degree from a recognized University or equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level, OR Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in English with Hindi as a subject at the degree level, OR Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with Hindi and English as subjects at the degree level OR Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with Hindi Medium and English as a subject at the degree level. OR Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with English Medium and Hindi as a subject at the degree level. Candidates should have Five years of experience in using/applying terminology (terminological work) in Hindi and translation work from English to Hindi or vice-versa, preferably of technical or scientific literature.
Chief General Manager (Technical)
Candidates should have a Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute. Candidates should have 17 years of service as Group‘A’ [Pay Scale of Pay Band-3 (Rs.15600-39100) with Grade Pay Rs.5400] (pre-revised) in CDA pattern, equivalent to Pay Level-10 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC or equivalent level post or higher on a regular basis out of which cumulative experience of 10 years in implementation of Infrastructure Sectors related to Highways, Roads and Bridges.
