Qualification Required for NIA Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of NIA Recruitment 2023, the required educational qualification is different for each position:

For Technical Forensic Psychologists-

• The applicant should have a Master’s degree in Criminology or Clinical Psychology regular course from a recognized University.
• Desirable– The applicant should have Doctorate Degree in Psychology from a recognized University with M.Phil in Clinical Psychology or PG Diploma in Forensic Psychology or M.Phil in Forensic Psychology.

For Finger Print Expert-

• The applicant should have M.Sc. Degree in any Science subject or M.Sc. in Forensic Science or B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry as one of the subjects from a recognized University.
• Desirable– The applicant should have Doctorate Degree relevant to the qualification or Fingerprint expert examination from a recognized University.

For Explosive Expert-

• The applicant should have a Master’s degree in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects at B.Sc. Level from a recognized University.
• Desirable– The applicant should have a Doctorate Degree in Chemistry.

For Cyber Forensic Examiner-

• The applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering or Computer Technology Master’s Degree in Computer Application/ Computer Science or Information Technology or Master of Technology in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized University.

For Biology Expert-

• The applicant should have M.Sc. Degree in Human Biology/ Microbiology/ Zoology/ Anthropology (Physical)/ Botany or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with Biology/ Zoology as one of the subjects at B.Sc. level from a recognized University.
• Desirable– The applicant should have a Doctorate Degree in Human Biology/ Microbiology/ Zoology/ Anthropology (Physical)/ Botany.

Experience for NIA Recruitment 2023:

As stated in the official notification of NIA Recruitment 2023, the essential experience is different for each post mentioned below:

• For Technical Forensic Psychologist– The applicant should have at least 03 years of experience in applied Psychology or Criminology/ Crime Investigation and for Desirable at least 03 years of experience in practising clinical psychology.
• For Finger Print Expert– The applicant should have at least 03 years of experience in a laboratory in the development and identification of Fingerprints.
• For Explosive Expert- The applicant should have at least 05 years of experience in the examination of explosives and firearms.
• For Cyber Forensic Examiner- The applicant should have at least 03 years of experience in digital investigation/ computer forensics and cyber security work in Central Government or State Government or Union Territories or Statutory or Autonomous organisations/ Public Sector Undertaking/ Universities/ recognized research institutions/ private sector inter alia including organisations duly listed on the stock exchange.
• For Biology Expert– The applicant should have at least 03 years of experience in a Biological Laboratory.

Salary for NIA Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of NIA Recruitment 2023, the selected candidates will get a monthly pay scale from Level-06 (Rs.35400 to 112400) to Level-10 (Rs.56100 to 177500) (according to the posts).

Place of Posting for NIA Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of NIA Recruitment 2023, the selected candidate will be posted in Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Kochi, Kolkata, Chennai, Ranchi, Imphal, Bengaluru, Patna, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Jammu and Raipur.
