Experience:

• Candidates must possess at least 15 years experience as a Scientific Officer/Technical Officer or an equivalent post or above out of which at least 8 years experience as Sr. Scientific Officer / Sr. Technical Officer in PB-3 with GP of Rs.7600/- or an equivalent post in Central / State Government Department / Autonomous Bodies / University / Institution of national importance/PSU etc.

For the post of Principal Students Activity and Sports (SAS) officer:

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Physical Education or Master’s Degree in Sports Science with at least 60% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA/ UGC point scale with a good academic record from a recognized University/ Institute.
• Candidates should have a record of having represented the University/College at the inter-university/ Intercollegiate competitions or state and/or national championships.
• Candidates must have qualified in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC and passed the physical fitness test conducted in accordance with these regulations.
• Candidates should have a record of organizing such events as student convener or in the later part of life.

Experience:

• Candidates should have experience in holding analogous posts; or
• Candidates should have at least 15 years of service in the ost as SAS Officer or equivalent out of which 3 years should be as Senior SAS Officer in PB-4 with GP of Rs.8700/- or AGP of Rs.9000/-.

Desirable:

• Experience in guiding a group of students in creative activities is compulsory.
• Candidates with higher degrees (PhD or equivalent) in a relevant Discipline shall be preferred.
• Candidates should have a record of strong involvement and a proven track record of participation in sports and drama/music/films/painting/photography/journalism/event management or other student activities during college/University studies.
