Notification on Amendments to Finance Commission Order under Article 280 of Constitution
The Ministry of Finance (Department of Economic Affairs) issued a notification on October 10, 2025, under the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 280 of the Constitution, read with the provisions of the Finance Commission (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1951 (Act No. 33 of 1951).
Through this notification, the President of India approved certain amendments to the earlier Order No. S.O. 5533(E), dated December 31, 2023, which had been published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), on the same date, i.e., December 31, 2023.
(a) In paragraph 3, for the figure, the letters and words "31st day of October, 2025," and the figures, letters, and words "the 30th day of November, 2025," will be replaced.
(b) In paragraph 5, for the figures, letters, and words "31st day of October, 2025," the figures, letters, and words "the 30th day of November, 2025" will be replaced.
