NTPC Recruitment 2023: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has called in Applications from Experienced and Competent Officers meeting Eligibility for Appointment to the Director (Projects) Post in National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC). As per the NTPC Recruitment 2023 notification, there is only 01 Vacancy to be filled up with the Appointment of the Eligible Officer Director (Projects) notified by the Public Enterprises Selection Board in the Pay Scale Rs. 1.80 Lac to R. 3.40 Lac Per Month (IDA) in National Thermal Corporation Ltd.

As per the NTPC Recruitment 2023 notification, Experienced Officers deemed to be Eligible with reference to the PESB notified Director (Projects) Post and are willing to be Applicants for the same may apply. The Last Date for the Willing Candidates to complete the Online Application Registration and subsequent Process shall close on 21st February 2023 (21.02.2023) for the Appointment of Director (Projects) as Regular Employment in NTPC Limited.

According to the NTPC Recruitment 2023 Notification, National Thermal Power Corporation is a Schedule ‘A’ Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) with its Registered and Corporate Offices in New Delhi.

Pay Scale under NTPC Recruitment 2023:

Pay Scale: Rs.1.80 Lac up to Rs.3.40 Lac Per Month (IDA).

Post-Selection, the Competent Officer will be issued an Appointment as Director (Projects) with entitlement to a Pay Scale of Rs. 1.80 Lac to Rs, 3.40 Lac Per Month (IDA) in NTPC Ltd.

Age Limit for NTPC Recruitment 2023:

Superannuation Age Limit: 60 Years (As on Date of Occurrence of the Vacancy; i.e. 01.12.2023)

A) Internal Candidates: Minimum 45 Years and Maximum 02-Years’ Residual Service as on the Date of Occurrence of the Vacancy in reference to the Date of Superannuation.

B) Other Candidates: Minimum 45 Years and Maximum 03-Years’ Residual Service as on the Vacancy Occurrence Date in reference to the Date of Superannuation.

Note: The Minimum Length of Services essential in the Eligible Pay Scale for the Post Director (Projects) is 01 (One) Year in regard to the Internal Personnel and as regards Others (External) is 02 (Two) Years As on 01.12.2023.

Eligibility Criteria for NTPC Recruitment 2023:

As per the NTPC Recruitment 2023 notification, The Eligible Applicants should have gained the Essential Eligibilities mentioned below;

A) Educational Qualifications:

i) Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology from any of the UGC/AICTE Accredited Universities/Institutions with a Good Academic Record.

ii) A Full-Time Magister Business Administration/Master of Business Administration (MBA)/Post Graduate Diploma in Management Degree with Specialization would have an Added Advantage.

Desired Experience:

i) The Applicant should have Minimum 05-Years’ Cumulative Experience/ Exposure during the Past 10 Years in Project Planning/Execution/ Management at any Senior Level of Management in any large Esteemed Organization.

ii) Experience in the Construction/Commissioning of Projects in the Power Sector is desirable in any Organisation of Repute.

Other Essential Eligibility Conditions for NTPC Recruitment 2023:

A.1) The Applicant from the Central Government/ All India Services should be holding a Joint Secretary Post Level under the Government of India/ must be carrying an Equivalent Pay Scale on 21st February 2023 (21.02.2023) the Closing Date of Online Application.

2) The Applicant from the Armed Forces of the Union Government of India should be holding a Major General Level Post in the Army/Equivalent Rank in the Indian Navy/Indian Air Force on 21.02.2023, the Last Date of Online Application.

B) The Applicant from the State Public Sector Enterprises (SPSE)/Private Sector (PS) should be serving in the Board Level Position/holding a Minimum Post of the Level immediately down below the Board Level on the End Date of the Online Application.

As per the NTPC Recruitment 2023 notification, Immediate Absorption of the Central Government Officers on the Post Director (Projects) mandates as the Central Government Officers, including those of the Armed Forces of the Union and the All India Services, are Eligible for consideration only on an Immediate Absorption Basis.

Selection Process for NTPC Recruitment 2023:

Selection on to Director (Projects) Post shall be carried out through an Interview for Appointment on the Director (Projects) Post.

The Public Enterprises Selection Board, for Appointment on Director (Projects) Post, will accord Due Preference to the Candidates serving or having rendered their respective services in any of the Listed Companies.

Appointment Tenure: Post-Selection Appointment the Tenure of the Incumbent as Director (Projects) shall remain 05 (Five) Years from the Date of Joining/up to the Date of Superannuation/until further Government Orders, Whichever be Earlier.

Important Points for Applying for PESB-issued NTPC Recruitment 2023:

Note 1: Eligible Applicants, who in the event of Selection for the Post of Director (Projects) may be spared for Appointment, should apply through the “Proper Channel”.

Note 2: The Applicant on the Date of Application as well as on the Interview Date should be in employment in a Regular Capacity, not in a Contractual or Ad-hoc Capacity in the Following Concerns:

a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a Full-Time Functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);

b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;

c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the Annual Turnover is *Rs 10000 Crore or more;

d) Private Sector in a Company where the Annual Turnover is *Rs 10000 Crore or more.

The Eligible and Willing Applicants should apply Online followed by submission of the Online Application Print-out in the Offline Mode via the PESB Online Recruitment Application Portal as explained in the subsequent Part:

i) Fill up the Application Format Online only against the Job Description (Director-Projects);

ii) Fill up the Application Form Online and take a Printout of the Online Application. Annex all the Testimonials with the ORA Printout to be dispatched.

i) Fill up the Application Form Online only against the Job Description (JD) on the PESB Website. Post-completion of the Online Application process forward it Online only. Or

ii) Fill up the Application Form Online only against the Job Description (Director-Projects).

iii) Take the Online Application’s Printout and the Application clubbed with the Self-attested Documents including essential Testimonials.
