Oil India Recruitment 2023: Oil India Limited (OIL) is a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking that is seeking to employ individuals for the Mahanadi Basin Project in Bhubaneswar on a contractual basis. The contract duration is one year, and it may be extended for up to two years, depending on the performance of the individual and the company’s requirements. As per OIL India Recruitment 2o23 official notification, the positions are temporary and will entail working in remote/far-flung OIL installations/locations in shifts that involve hazardous and strenuous tasks. Only Indian nationals who meet the eligibility criteria specified for each position on the date of registration may apply.

OIL is looking to hire one Geologist, two Chemists, and two Drilling Engineers on a contractual basis. Applicants for the Geologist position must have a postgraduate degree in Geology or Applied Geology, while Chemists must hold a postgraduate degree in Chemistry or a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. Drilling Engineers must have a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering and a valid Well Control Certificate (IWCF Level-4/IADC-L4). As per OIL India Recruitment 2o23 official notification, the minimum age requirement is 24 years, and the upper age limit is 40 years as of the date of registration for the Walk-in-Interview. The monthly contract emoluments are Rs. 80,000/- for Geologists and Drilling Engineers and Rs. 1,00,000/- for Chemists, in addition to incidental expenses of Rs. 500/- per day for the actual number of days worked outside the place of posting.

Interested applicants who meet the above criteria may report to the Mahanadi Basin Project office in Bhubaneswar for the Walk-in-Interview. The registration process will take place on April 10th, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and no candidates will be allowed to register after 11:00 a.m. If the total number of candidates registered on the scheduled date is more than the capacity limit, the Walk-in-Interview for the remaining candidates will be rescheduled on subsequent days.

Educational Qualification for OIL India Recruitment 2023:

As per OIL India Recruitment 2023 official notification, the eligibility criteria for the three different contractual positions (Drilling Engineer, Geologist, and Chemist) have been provided along with the emoluments and age limits as of the date of registration for Walk-in-Interview.

For the position of Drilling Engineer, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering of four years duration from a Govt. recognized institute. Additionally, they should have a Post Qualification Work Experience of more than 03 (Three) years in the upstream Oil & Gas industry and must possess a valid Well Control Certificate (IWCF Level-4/IADC-L4.).

For the position of Geologist, candidates should have a Post Graduate degree in Geology/Applied Geology of two years duration from a Govt. recognized institute. Additionally, they should have a Post Qualification Work Experience of more than 03 (Three) years as a Wellsite Geologist.

For the position of Chemist, candidates should have a Post Graduate degree in Chemistry of (02) Two years duration from a Govt. recognized institute. Additionally, they should have Post Qualification Work Experience of more than 05 (five) years in the Preparation, Maintenance, and Supply of Water Base Drilling Fluid (Mud) in Drilling well. Alternatively, they should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering of four years duration from a Govt. recognized institute and have Post Qualification Work Experience of more than 07 (Seven) years in Preparation, Maintenance, and Supply of Water Base Drilling Fluid (Mud) in Drilling well.

Age Limit for OIL India Recruitment 2023:

For the position of Drilling Engineer, the minimum age for the position is 24 years, and the upper age limit is 40 years as of the date of registration for Walk-in-Interview.

For the position of Geologist, the minimum age for the position is 24 years, and the upper age limit is 40 years as of the date of registration for Walk-in-Interview.

For the position of Chemist, the minimum age for the position is 24 years, and the upper age limit is 40 years as of the date of registration for Walk-in-Interview.

Salary for OIL India Recruitment 2023:

For the position of Drilling Engineer, the emoluments for this position are ₹ 80,000/- per month.

For the position of Geologist, the emoluments for this position are ₹ 80,000/- per month.

For the position of Chemist, the emoluments for this position are ₹ 1,00,000/- per month.

Selection Process for OIL Recruitment 2023:

As per OIL India Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selection criteria for the Walk-in-Interviews conducted by Oil India Limited are as follows:

a) The selection of candidates will be based solely on the Walk-in-Interview, which will be conducted for a total of 100 marks.

b) The minimum qualifying marks for all categories of candidates will be 50.

c) The 100 marks obtained in the Walk-in-Interview will be broken down into three categories: Professional Knowledge and skills (in the concerned discipline), Professional Knowledge and skills (in allied discipline), Personal Attributes, and Soft Skills.

d) Final selection will be made only from among the candidates who have appeared and secured the minimum qualifying marks of 50 in the Walk-in-Interview. The selection will be based on the merit of the candidates, as per the marks obtained in the Walk-in-Interview.

As per OIL India Recruitment 2023 official notification, the interviews are scheduled to take place at Mahanadi Basin Project (erstwhile Bay Exploration Project), IDCO Towers, 3rd Floor, Janapath, Bhubaneswar-751022, Odisha, India. The company is looking to engage Contractual Drilling Engineers, Geologists, and Chemists. The registration for the interview process will take place on 10/04/2023, and interested candidates should report between 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. No candidate will be allowed to register after 11:00 AM as stated in the notice. The Walk-in-Interviews will take place on the same day, i.e., 10/04/2023, for all three positions.

As per OIL India Recruitment 2023 official notification, interested candidates need to fill in the Personal Bio-Data Form provided in the last three pages of the advertisement. Along with the form, candidates must attach a recent colored photograph of 3cm x 3cm size. Candidates must also provide a valid Identity Proof and valid Address Proof from a competent government authority along with Date of Birth (DOB) proof, such as Birth Certificate or Class X certificate containing DOB.

Additionally, they must carry their Admit Card, Marksheet, and Pass Certificate of Class 10 issued by the concerned Government Recognized Education Board, and documents/certificates/testimonials of essential qualifications and experience certificates.

If applicable, candidates must also provide a valid Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC), a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate, and a valid Income and Asset Certificate to be produced by Economically Weaker Sections. Candidates with a disability must provide a valid Disability Certificate, and Ex-servicemen must provide a valid Discharge Book/Service and Release Certificate (pages containing personal particulars and service particulars).

If the applicant is working in any organization, a No-Objection Certificate from the concerned employer, in original, must also be submitted. Finally, candidates must also provide a set of self-attested photocopies of all applicable documents/certificates/testimonials as mentioned above.
