Power Grid Corporation Recruitment 2023: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, a Maharatna company under the Ministry of Power, has announced recruitment for the post of Officer Trainee in the Company Secretary department. The corporation is looking for bright, committed, and energetic candidates to join its fold as Officer Trainees, who will be absorbed into the company as an Officer at the E2 level after the successful completion of one year of training. Interested and eligible candidates can register themselves online at Power Grid’s official website from 12th April 2023 onwards, irrespective of their applications made earlier for any other post/recruitment process in POWERGRID. During the one-year training period, the selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.40,000/- -3%-140000(IDA) and will be paid a stipend in the form of Basic Pay of Rs. 40,000/- along with IDA, HRA, and perks @12% of basic pay during the training period. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Officers in E2 scale – Rs. 50,000/- 3%- 1, 60,000/- (IDA).

As per Power Grid Corporation Recruitment 2023 official notification, to be eligible for the post of Officer Trainee (Company Secretary) at POWERGRID, candidates need to meet certain criteria. Firstly, the upper age limit for candidates is 28 years as on 4th May 2023. This means that candidates should have been born on or after 5th May 1995 to be eligible for the recruitment process.
Secondly, candidates must have a specific qualification to be eligible for the post. They should be Associate Members of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. This means that candidates must have completed the Company Secretary (CS) course and have become Associate Members of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
It is important to note that only those candidates who possess the above-mentioned qualification and meet the age limit criteria as of the last date of application, which is 4th May 2023, will be considered eligible for the recruitment process. Any candidate who fails to meet the eligibility criteria will not be considered for the post of Officer Trainee (Company Secretary) at POWERGRID.

The selection process for the recruitment of Officer Trainee – Company Secretary-2023 will be conducted in three stages:
Candidates who qualify in the written test will be shortlisted for the GD and Interview.
Written Test:
The written test will be a computer-based test (CBT) and will consist of two sections – Professional Knowledge Test (PKT) and Executive Aptitude Test (EAT). The PKT will comprise of discipline-specific questions, and the EAT will have questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data sufficiency, and interpretation & numerical ability.
The written test will have a total of 170 questions with each question carrying equal marks (1). There will be a negative marking of 1/4 for each wrong or multiple answers. Candidates shall have to qualify in the written test to be called for GD and Interview.

Shortlisting of Eligible Candidates for GD & Interview:
The eligible qualified candidates shall be shortlisted for GD & Interview on the basis of their marks in the written test.

Weightage to Different Parameters:
The final score of a candidate for empanelment will be calculated based on the marks obtained in the written test, group discussion, and personal interview, as per the following weightage:
Offer of Appointment:
The Offer of Appointment shall be issued to suitable candidates based on the order of merit and the number of vacancies. However, the final appointment of selected candidates will be subject to candidates being found medically fit, and meeting the eligibility criteria as per the notification.
