PPSC Recruitment 2022: The (PPSC) has invited Applications from Candidates meeting the eligibility for Recruitment for the Agriculture Development Officer (Group A) Posts in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. There are 200 Vacancies to be filled by appointment in the Agriculture Development Officer (Group A) Posts in the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Government of Punjab. Candidates selected for the Agriculture Development Officer (Group A) Posts shall be appointed at the Initial Pay of Rs. 44900. Refer to PPSC Recruitment 2022 for the same.
Among the Candidates, those who have convincingly fulfilled the prescribed Eligibility in reference to Agril Development Officer (Group A) Posts intending to be Applicants, may apply up to 29th December 2022 (29.12.2022). The Last Date for the Candidates to complete both, Online Application Process together with Online Application shall terminate on 30th December 2022 (30.12.2022) as may be read in the PPSC Recruitment 2022 Notification.
The aggregate of notified 200 Vacancies for the Agriculture Development Officers (Group A) Posts are inclusive of 78 Posts for the Un-Reserved Category Candidates together with 22 Nos. for Women.

Age Limit (As on 01.01.2022)
As per the PPSC Recruitment 2022 Advertisement, the Un-Reserved Category Candidate should have attained Minimum 18 Years and should not exceed (Maximum) 37 Years. Relaxation in the Upper Age Limit for Reserved Community Candidates is expressed in the PPSC Recruitment 2022 Advertisement with reference to the Agriculture Development Officer Post.
Education Qualification (As on 29.12.2022)
The Candidate should have in possession a Bachelor’s Degree; i.e., B.Sc. (Agriculture)with Minimum 60% Marks from any duly recognized University or Equivalent Institution.
Preference: The Punjab Public Service Commission shall attach Preference to any Person, who may have a Higher Degree; i.e., M.Sc.(Agriculture) from any recognized University or Institution.
Requisite: Should have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a Regional Dialect or its Equivalent Standard.
Punjab Public Service Commission shall conduct the Selection Process for Agriculture Development Officer Posts in 02 Stages; viz., Stage 1: OMR Based Recruitment Test comprising a Written Competitive Examination and Stage 2: Interview.
The OMR-Based Written Competitive Examination comprising 120 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions carries Maximum 480 Marks. The Interview will carry Maximum 60 Marks. The Marks obtained by the Candidates out of the Aggregate 540 Marks shall yield a Common Merit List for Final Selection on the Agriculture Development Officer (Group A) Posts.
The Punjab Public Service Commission will conduct an OMR Answer Sheet Based Written Competitive Examination for the Candidates. 02 Hours duration OMR Response Sheet specific Competitive Written Examination containing 120 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective involves Negative Marking of 01 Mark for Incorrect Responses or Multiple Answers for any Objective-Type MCQ. ‘0’ Mark will be dispensed for any Un-attempted Multiple Choice Question.
Merit Basis: The Punjab Public Service Commission will draw up a Common Merit List based on the Aggregate Scores secured both in the Written Competitive Examination and Interview.
The Candidates belonging to different Categories and Communities applying for the PPSC notified PPSC Recruitment 2022 should remit the Examination Fee through any of the Payment Gateways: Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/RuPay.
