Aatmnirbharta, service saturation and Technology are three keyways of tackling corruption, said prime minister Narendra Modi while launching the new Complaint Management System portal of the central vigilance commission (CVC) on Thursday, 3rd November 2022.

PM Modi stated addressing the crowd that vigilance Awareness week began with the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. Sardar Patel has spent his entire life dedicated to honesty, transparency and the building of a public service system. He also added that the campaign revolving around awareness and alertness is based on these principal only.

Regarding the use of technology, PM Modi addressed integrating PDS with technology, eliminating millions of false beneficiaries, and implementing Direct Benefit Transfer to prevent more than 2 lakh crores of rupees from falling into the wrong hands (DBT). Similar to this, GeM’s implementation of transparent digital transactions and transparent public procurement is having a significant impact.

The PM referred to CVC as an organization that supports everyone’s efforts to maintain transparency, recalled his previous appeal for “preventive vigilance,” and lauded CVC’s work in that regard.

The absence of utilities and unneeded pressure from the government are two major factors that contribute to corruption and impede people’s advancement, according to the prime minister.

The public’s rising self-confidence is a result of their growing trust in the government. The issue was that while losing public trust, the government lagged behind in restoring it. Unfortunately, since the time of British administration, the legacy of corruption, exploitation, and control over resources has been spread. It has primarily affected the nation. However, we must completely alter this long-standing custom during the Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal, he said.
