PSSSB Recruitment 2023: 1317 Vacancies, Check Posts, Eligibility Pay Scales and How to Apply
PSSSB Recruitment 2023: The Punjab Subordinate Selection Service Board (PSSSB) has invited Online Applications from both Male and Female Genders/Persons Eligible for Recruitment on to the Group ‘C’ Posts; i.e., Fireman (991) Posts and Drivers/Operator 326 Posts.
As per the PSSSB Recruitment 2023, there are 1317 Vacancies to be filled with Appointments of the Candidates into Group ‘C’ Firemen (991) Posts and Group ‘C’ Drivers/Operators (326) Posts. The Candidates selected as Firemen and Drivers/Operators shall be appointed in the Municipal Corporations and Municipal Nagar Panchayats of Punjab
Among the Persons, those who have fulfilled Eligibility specific to the Posts, may apply as per the Instructions and Timelines published in the PSSSB Recruitment 2023 Advertisement. The Last Date for the Candidates to complete the Online Application Process is 28.02.2023. The Last Date for Payment of Online Application/Examination Fee is 03.03.2023.
1) Post Name: Fireman Group ‘C’ Post
i) Group ‘C’ : 751 Vacancies
ii) Group ‘C’ : 256 Vacancies = 1007 Vacancies
2) Post Name: Driver Group ‘C’ Post
i) Group ‘C’ : 240 Vacancies
ii) Group ‘C’ : 70 Vacancies = 310 Vacancies
Total 1317 Vacancies
As per the PSSSB Recruitment 2023, the Pay Scales to payable to the Candidates selected as 01) Fireman and 02) Driver/Operator shall be as explained hereunder
i) Fireman: Rs. 19900 Per Month in the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC.
ii) Driver/Operator: Rs. 21700 Per Month in the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC.
Age Criteria: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 37 Years
As per the PSSSB Recruitment 2023, the Un-Reserved Category Candidate should be Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 37 Years’ Age as on the Closing Date Application 28.02.2023, who should Quite Fit to undergo rigors of the Duties of a Fire Brigade Personnel. Refer to PSSSB Recruitment 2023 Notification.
Relaxations in the Upper Age Limits for Reserved Community Candidates is as per the Government Policy.
A) Eligibility for Fireman Post:
Educational Qualification for Direct Recruitment as per Service Rules
Educational Qualification:
i) Minimum Middle Standard.
ii) The Applicant should have passed Punjabi at Matriculation Standard.
Desirable: Having in possession Minimum 05 Years’ License of driving Heavy Vehicles prior to the Date of Recruitment in the Fire Service.
Experience: The Application must have Experience of carrying out the Running Repairs to Vehicles and other Fire Service Appliances.
B) Post Name: Drivers/Operators:
Educational Qualification: Minimum Middle Standard.
Applicant should have passed Punjabi at Matriculation Standard.
Desirable: Having in possession Minimum 05 Years’ License of driving Heavy Vehicles prior to the Date of Recruitment in the Fire Service.
Experience: The Application must have Experience of carrying out Running Repairs to Vehicles and other Fire Service Appliances.
Note:
Physique for Direct Recruitment for the notified Posts and mentioned hereinabove:
a) Height: Minimum 5’5”
b) Chest: 33.5” Unexpanded with 1.5”
c) Eyesight 6/6 Both Eyes without Glasses
Physical Fitness Standards for the notified Posts and mentioned hereinabove:
I) Running of 100 Yards’ Distance with a weight of 60 Kg Stones in 01 Minute.
II) Lifting the Hook ladder to a Vertical Position from 3rd Round and 6th Round.
iii) Climbing a Rope or a Vertical Pipe to a height of 8 to 10 Ft from the Ground.
Selection for the Group ‘C’ Posts 01) Fireman, 02) Driver/Operator Posts shall be conducted through Direct Recruitment as per Service Rules prescribed in the PSSSB Recruitment 2023 Advertisement issued for the Purpose.
No Person shall be appointed to any Post in Group ‘C’ Service unless he has passed a Qualifying Test of Punjabi Language equivalent to Matriculation Standard with Minimum 50% Marks, to be conducted by respective Recruitment Agencies in addition to Competitive examination. The Test of Punjabi Dialect shall be a Mandatory Qualifying Test and failure to secure Minimum 50% Marks in Punjabi Dialect will disqualify the Candidate for being considered in the Final Merit List of the Candidates to be selected irrespective of their Marks/Scores in the other Papers of the respective Examination.
Based on the PSSSB Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, the Candidates shall have to pay Online Examination/Application Fee:
i) General Category: Rs. 1000 (Rupees One Thousand) only.
ii) Ex-Service-Men and Dependents: Rs. 200 (Rupees Two Hundred) only.
iii) Economically Weaker Section: Rs.250 (Rupees Two Hundred) only.
iv) Scheduled Caste/Backward Classes: Rs.250 (Rupees Two Hundred) only.
v) Persons with Benchmark Disabilities/Physical Handicapped: Rs.500 (Rupees Five Hundred) only.
