SM PORT Authority Recruitment 2023: The Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Department of Personnel and Training) has called in Applications from the Competent Officers for Appointment on Chairperson (JS Level) Post On Deputation Basis in Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority, Kolkata.
According to the SM PORT Authority Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Post Chairperson (JS Level) to be filled up in Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority under on Deputation Basis with Pay in Level 14 (Rs.144200-218200) of the Pay Matrix [Rs 200000 -370000 (IDA Pattern) under the Ministry of Shipping & Waterways, Government of India.
The Cadre Controlling Authority may forward through Email the Applications of the Eligible Officers from among the Officers of Major Port Authorities convincingly Eligible Officers.
As mentioned in the SM PORT Authority Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Last Date for completion of the Application Submission Process in respect of the Eligible Persons shall close on 27th February 2023 (27.02.2023) according to the Instructions prescribed in this SM PORT Authority Recruitment 2023 Notification.

As is mentioned in the SM PORT Authority Recruitment 2023 Notification, for the Officers Empaneled to Hold Joint Secretary or Equivalent Posts in the Center under Central Staffing Scheme.
i) Pay Scale: Level 14 (Rs.144200-218200) of the Pay Matrix for the Officers Empanelled to holding Joint Secretary or Equivalent Posts in the Center under Central Staffing Scheme.
ii) Pay Scale: Rs.2.00 Lac to R.3.70 Lac (IDA Pattern) for Port Officers and KPL Employees.
As has been notified in the SM PORT Authority Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, the Eligibility Criteria Mandatory for Chairperson Post are as explained therein.
For Port Officers including the Employees of Kamarajar Port Limited*
The Officers having Minimum Experience should
i) have 03-Years as Chairperson in Category-II Port; Or
ii) have 04-Years’ Combined Service as Deputy Chairperson of Category-I Port or Higher Level; Or
iii) have 05-Years’ Combined Service as Deputy Chairperson of Category-II Port or Higher Level.
According to SM PORT Authority Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, Selection on Chairperson Post mandates the *the Employees of Kamarajar Port Limited holding Equivalent Posts with corresponding Pay Scale and Length of Service will be Eligible for consideration.
The Posts of Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson are Selection Posts for which the
Benchmark in overall Grading of Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs) for Previous 05 (Five) Years should be Minimum/should not be below ‘Very Good’.
3) Applicants with Leftover Service of 02-Years or more (as on the date of arising of vacancy or Closing Date of Submission of Applications, whichever is later) will only be considered for Appointment.
