The Centre said on Saturday that it is dedicated to improving the work of the National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA), an independent regulatory organisation for the auditing profession established under the Corporate Affairs Ministry.
Speaking at an event hosted by the NFRA as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) celebrations, Ministry of Corporate Affairs Secretary Rajesh Verma said, “We have to see what else needs to be done to strengthen NFRA so that it can carry out its mandates successfully” in addition to strengthening the mandates of defending the general public interests.
