Keesara Inspector, SI Arrested in Rs 5 Lakh Bribe Case

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Keesara Inspector Arkapally Anjaneyulu and Sub-Inspector Dyapa Gnanender Reddy in connection with a Rs 5 lakh bribe case.
According to the ACB, on Wednesday, Gnanender Reddy demanded and accepted Rs 5 lakh from a complainant following instructions from Inspector Anjaneyulu. The ACB officials caught the sub-inspector red-handed while accepting the bribe.
The bribe was allegedly demanded in return for granting station bail and not harassing the complainant and his friend in a case already registered at Keesara police station. The ACB said the entire bribe amount was recovered from Gnanender Reddy.
The ACB alleged that both police officials misused their positions and acted dishonestly to gain an illegal benefit. The case is under investigation. The identity and details of the complainant have been kept confidential for security reasons.
