TNPSC Recruitment 2023 for 93 Vacancies: Check Posts, Eligibility and Other Vital Details

TNPSC Recruitment 2023: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for the post of Agricultural Officer(Extension), Assistant Director of Agriculture (Extension) and Horticultural officer. Candidates will be posted in the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Extension Service and also in the Tamil Nadu Horticultural Service. As per the TNPSC Recruitment notification, there are 93 vacancies for these posts. The maximum age limit for these posts is 60 years. Candidates have to pay Rs. 150 as registration Fees and Rs. 200 payable for written examination.

Candidates will be selected through an OMR/Computer based test. Candidate meeting the eligibility criteria mentioned below should apply for these posts on or before the last date. The online registration will start on 12.01.2023 and the last date to apply for these job posts is 10.02.2023. The written examination will be held on 20.05.2023 and 21.05.2023.

Qualification Required for TNPSC Recruitment 2023:

Candidates applying for the post of Agricultural Officer(Extension) should have a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil. Candidates applying for the post of Assistant Director of Agriculture (Extension) should have an M.Sc degree in agricultural extension or agricultural economics. Candidates with having M.sc degree in agricultural extension will be given preference. Candidates applying for the post of Horticultural officer should have a B.Sc degree in Horticulture.

Age Limit for TNPSC Recruitment 2023:

The maximum age limit for applying for this job post is 60 years.

Selection Process for TNPSC Recruitment 2023:

Candidates will be selected in two successive stages: 1) a Written Examination and 2) an Oral Test in the form of an interview. The final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the applicants at the written examination and oral test taken together subject to the rule of reservation of appointments. Applicant’s appearance in the written examination and oral test is compulsory. The applicant who has not appeared for any of the subjects in the written examination or Oral Test will not be considered for selection, even if he/she secures the minimum qualifying marks for selection.
