TNPSC Recruitment 2023: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has sought Online Applications from the Candidates Eligible for Junior Scientific Officer (Post Code 1767) with 31 Vacancies in Forensic Sciences Department through this TNPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement 659, Notification 10/2023 Dated 27.04.2023. Based on the TNPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement issued for Junior Scientific Officer Post in the Tamil Nadu Forensic Sciences Subordinate Service to be filled through Direct Recruitment, the Candidates with Eligibility and Interest therein may proceed with Online Registration already in progress from 27.04.2023. Accordingly, the Last Date for completion of the Online Application by the Interested Candidates shall terminate on 26.05.2023.
According to the TNPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission will conduct in both Fore-Noon and After-Noon Session on 23.07.2023 a Computer-Based Online Test for Selection for Junior Scientific Officer (Post Code 1767) with Pay Scale: Level-18: Rs.36900 to 135100 (Revised Scale) in Forensic Sciences Department under the Tamil Nadu Forensic Sciences Subordinate Service (TNFSSS).

Based on TNPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Junior Scientific Officer (JSO) Post-Appointment shall be entitled to the Pay Scale mentioned hereunder:
Pay Scale: Level-18: Rs.36900 to 135100 (Revised Scale)
The TNPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification mandates the Age Limits for Un-Reserved Category and Reserved Community to be reckoned as on 01.07.2023 to be read as follows:
Age Limit: Any Open Market Candidate should be Minimum 18 Years and should not exceed 32 Years. Relaxation in the Upper Age Limits for Reserved Community Candidates is mentioned in the TNPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.
The TNPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement mandates the Eligibility (as on 27.04.2023) explained hereunder:
M.Sc. (Forensic Science) Degree and a Degree in the Subject, for the Group as shown in the Explanation below to which he/ she is appointed. (OR) M.Sc. Degree in the Subject for the Group awarded by any University or Institution duly Recognized by the University Grants Commission, as shown in the Explanation below to which he/ she is to be appointed.
Preference: Provided that other things being Equal, Person holding a Degree in M.Sc.(Forensic Science) shall be given Preference.
Desirable: Applicants should possess Adequate Knowledge in Tamil.
Selection for Junior Scientific Officer shall be carried out by a Computer-Based Test and Interview and Records. The Computer Based Test comprising 02 Papers to be held in 02 Shifts for 450 (300+150) Marks followed by Interview and Records for 60 Marks.
As per the TNPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, any Un-Reserved/Open Market Candidates shall have to obtain Minimum Qualifying 204 Marks. The Minimum Pass Marks to be scored by any Reserved Community Candidate are 153 Marks to be shortlisted for subsequent Interview.
According to TNPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, any Applicant should One Time Registration and Examination Fee as follows:
i) One-Time Registration Fee: Rs.150
ii) Examination Fee: Rs.150
