TVS Supply Chain Solutions Subsidiary Challenges Rs 6.71 Crore Tax Demand, Moves CIT(A) for Relief
TVS Supply Chain Solutions Limited has informed the stock exchange of India that its wholly owned subsidiary, named TVS SCS Global Freight Solutions Ltd, has filed an appeal before the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals) [CIT(A)] contesting an income tax order.
This appeal has been filed challenging an income tax assessment order passed by the Assessment Unit, Income Tax Department, under Section 143(3) of the Income Tax Act, raising a tax demand of Rs 6.71 crores, along with a notice requiring payment.
As per the tax authorities, certain expenses recorded by TVS SCS Global Freight Solutions Ltd. had not been recorded as income by the suppliers. Now the company is adopting all appropriate legal measures to contest the order and seek a stay on the payment until the matter is resolved.
The aforementioned disclosure has been made through an intimation dated April 30, 2026, addressed to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Limited and National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) Limited, under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
