Two Nizamabad Municipal Corporation Employees Held by ACB for Allegedly Demanding Rs 15,000 to Process Pension Documents:

Two employees of the Nizamabad Municipal Corporation were caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000.

The accused were identified as Palda Ashok, a junior assistant in the Establishment Section, and Kalakuntla Kiran Kumar, an outsourced employee working in the Audit Section.

According to the ACB, the two were caught around 11.18 a.m. at Padmashali Sangam in Seetharamnagar Colony, near Raja Rajendra Chowrastha in Nizamabad.

The ACB said the employees had allegedly demanded Rs 15,000 from a complainant to process the pension documents of the complainant’s mother. The money was allegedly demanded for preparing increment proceedings and updating the necessary details in her service books to help sanction her monthly pension.

The identity of the complainant has not been disclosed. The ACB said both accused were arrested and would be produced before the II Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases at Nampally in Hyderabad. Further investigation is underway.
