UGC NET 2024: UGC NET 2024 Re-exam Dates Announced, Check Syllabus and Other Details

UGC NET 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has scheduled the UGC NET 2024 re-exam to be conducted between August 21 to September 4, 2024. Earlier, the UGC NET 2024 exam was conducted on June 18, 2024, for 83 subjects in two shifts. However, the UGC NET 2024 exam was cancelled by the University Grants Commission on July 19, 2024. The major reason behind the cancellation of the UGC NET 2024 examination was that under the Ministry of Home Affairs, UGC gained certain inputs from the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) on examination which in end the authority need to cancel the exam. The authority will soon make available the UGC NET 2024 City Intimation Slip and Admit Card on its official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

The UGC NET 2024 re-exam will be administered in online mode through Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) also said as NTA UGC NET is a national-level examination, conducted to shortlist candidates for the posts of only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in the Universities or colleges of India. The UGC NET 2024 re-exam is set to be held for a total of 83 subjects and will be organised in two shifts.

The UGC NET 2024 re-exam will be organised in two papers, one and two. Both papers will comprise all multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and will be held in offline mode. Candidates will be given 3 hours to complete both papers. Here below is the exam pattern for the UGC NET 2024 re-exam.

UGC NET 2024: How to Download City Intimation Slip

Below are the detailed steps on how candidates can download the city intimation slip for the UGC NET 2024:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of UGC at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
  • Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads, “UGC NET 2024 City Intimation Slip.”
  • Step 3: At the login page, fill in the login credentials such as Application Number and Date of Birth.
  • Step 4: Enter the Security PIN as displayed on the screen.
  • Step 5: Click the Submit button.
  • Step 6: This step will display your UGC NET 2024 City Intimation Slip on the screen.
  • Step 7: Download the slip and save it for further and future use.
