UKPSC Recruitment 2022: 238 Vacancies, Check Posts, Eligibility, Pay Scale and How to Apply

UKPSC Recruitment 2022: Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has invited Applications from the Candidates fulfilling the Eligibility Criteria in reference to Group ‘C’ Jail Prisoner Guard under the Prisons Department Examination 2022.

Among the Candidates, those who qualify the Mandatory Eligibility in respect of the Posts; viz., i) Man Jail Prison Guards (214 Vacancies) and Woman Jail Prison Guards (24 Vacancies). Out of 238 Vacancies, 113 Posts are reserved for Male Gender under General Category and 12 Posts for the Un-Reserved Category of Women.

All the Eligible Candidates intending to apply for the Posts, may submit their respective candidatures as per the Instructions explained in the subsequent Part of this Information Bulletin and also in the Attached UKPSC Recruitment Advertisement 2022.

Mode of Applying: 5th December 2022 is the Last Date for Eligible Candidates to complete Online Applications together with the uploading Scanned Signatures, Photographs and duly signed Self-Attested Documents, etc.

Selection Methodology: Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, subsequent to screening of the Online Application Particulars of the Candidates, will conduct a Shortlisting Process. The Candidates will be intimated for appearing in the Objective Type Test. The UKPSC, prior to preparing the Final Selection List after the Medical Examination/Review Medical Examination (RME) and Character Antecedent Verification

Process, etc., will summon the Candidates having scored the Minimum Qualifying Percentile Marks to appear in the Physical Standards and Measurement Test including the Document and Testimonial Verification

Selection Process: UK Public Selection Commission will carry out Selection of the Candidates for the Jail Prison Guard Post by taking into account the Marks obtained (yielding Category-specific and Community-wise Merit) in an OMR Response Sheet-Based Single Objective-Type Written Examination and Physical Efficiency Test Marks.

Vacancy Detail: 238 (Including 125 (113+12) Posts for the General Merit Candidates.

Pay Level-3: Pay Matrix of Rs.21700.00 to Rs.69100.00 Per Month

Age Limits (As on 01.07.2022): General Merit Candidate should have attained Minimum 21 Years and Maximum 35 Years. The Upper Age Limits for Reserved Community Candidates are relaxable and the Conditions are explained in UKPSC Notification for Uttarakhand Jail (Male/Female) Prison Guard (under Prisons Department) Recruitment Examination 2022.

Age Limits (As on 01.07.2020) for those Candidates who had applied for this Post in 2021.

Educational Qualification: The Candidate should have passed Intermediate (XII) from any Duly Recognized Board of Examination/Council Or any Equivalent Institution established by the Law of the Central Government/State Government in India.

Preferential Qualifications: The Candidate must have

i) rendered 02-Years’ Service in the State’s Territorial Army;

ii) obtained ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate of National Cadet Corps (NCC)

Physical Efficiency for Men: i) Cricket Ball Throw: 20 Marks; ii) Long Jump: 20 Marks, iii) Chinning up (Beam): 20 Marks, iv) Push-up: 20 (10+10) Marks and v) Race and Walk: 20 Marks

Physical Efficiency for Women: i) Chinning up (Beam): 50 Marks, ii) Race and Walk: 50 Marks
