United Breweries Limited (UBL), India’s largest beer manufacturer and distributor, recently issued a disclosure to BSE Ltd and NSE Ltd regarding receipt of a direction order on March 5, 2026, from the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board.

Background of the case

The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board directed that the company’s brewery in Shahjahanpur must pay Rs 3,649,000 as an environmental penalty for causing pollution and depositing it at the RSPCB regional office in Kotputli-Behror.

Details of the Violation

It has been alleged that the company’s brewery located in Shahjahanpur, Rajasthan, has violated the provisions of the Water Act and the Air Act.

The company issued this disclosure under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
