UP Police Recruitment 2022: Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) shall shortly issue a Recruitment Notification to fill the Vacancies of Skilled (Male and Female) Sportspersons to the Posts of Constable Civilian Police in Uttar Pradesh Police 2022 through Direct Recruitment against 534 Vacancies.

Uttar Pradesh Police Bharti and Pronnati Board shall publish a Recruitment Notification on the Website and also in the Leading Newspapers of Uttar Pradesh to invite Applications from the Skilled Sportspersons Male and Female Candidates Eligible for Direct Recruitment Constable Civil Police (Skilled Sportspersons) in Uttar Pradesh Police-2022 against 534 Vacancies in the Sports Categories written hereinafter.

Skilled Sportsperson Eligibility for Male and Female Candidates, among various Sports Categories; viz.,01. Archery; 02. Arm-wrestling; 03. Athletics; 04. Badminton; 05. Basketball; 06. Body-building; 07.Boxing; 08. Cross-country; 09. Cycling; 10. Equestrian; 11. Fencing; 12. Football; 13. Golf; Gymnastics; 14. Handball; 15. Hockey; 16. Judo; 17. Kabaddi (Circle Kabaddi/Beach Kabaddi); 18. Karate; 19. Kho-Kho; 20.Lawn Tennis; 21.Pencak silat; 22.Powerlifting, 23.Rifle-shooting; 24. Sepaktakra; 25.Shooting Sports; 26. Swimming; 27. Those fulfilling Eligibility from among the Skilled Sports Persons meeting the Eligibility Criteria for Constable Civil Police Post, may apply following UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board Recruitment Instructions in the Recruitment Advertisement 2022.

Online Application/Registration in respect of the Direct Recruitment of Constable Civilian Police (Skilled Sportspersons) in Uttar Pradesh Police will go ahead with the Online Application/Registration Notified Dates and subsequent Follow-ups. Those Skilled Sportspersons aspiring for Constable Civil Police, fulfilling the Eligibility Criteria for Direct Recruitment to Constable Civilian Police Post may be able to apply once the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board once a Detailed Recruitment Advertisement is released. The Skilled Sportspersons Eligible Candidates may apply as per the Sports Category Total 534 (335 Posts for Men and 199 Posts for Women) Vacancies notified by UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.

Modality of Application: The Eligible Candidates shall need to apply Online together with the Scanned Signature and Photograph, Testimonials to be uploaded and the Application Fee to be paid Online.

Selection Methodology: The Selection of Skilled Sportspersons (Male and Female) will be conducted in compliance with the Uttar Pradesh Police (Skilled Players) Recruitment and Without Turn Promotion Rules 2021. Selection to the Skilled Sportspersons (to the Posts of Constable Civilian Police in Uttar Pradesh Police) found Suitable will be decided as per the procedure adopted by the Selection Committee. Selection to the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board Notified Posts comprise 05 Stages as mentioned hereunder:

Stage 1: Sports Skill Test; Stage 2: Document Verification; Stage 3: Selection and Final Merit List; Stage 4: Medical Examination and Stage 5: Character and Antecedent Verification respectively.

Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, subsequent to preparing the Final Merit List, shall forward the same along with the Recommendation to the Head of the Department under Character Verification in respect of the Appointments of the Candidates based on the Merit List.

Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) shall conduct a Sports Skill Test for 80 Marks for Male and Female Candidates. Those who secure Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks and Above shall be considered Fit and Eligible for Selection. On the contrary, those who fail to qualify with Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks shall be declared Unfit and Ineligible for the Selection Process.

Sports Skills Test Scale: 80 Marks: i) Fit: 50 Marks or Higher AND ii) Unfit: Lesser than 50 Marks

Final Selection List: UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board will prepare the Final Selection List by taking into account the Candidates’ Marks in the Sports Skill Test granted by the Sports Skill Test and the Marks granted by the Selection Committee.

In case of TIE arising, then the TIE Resolving Criteria will be exercised for Final Selection. (Detailed Explanation is mentioned in the Subsequent Part of this Write-up.

Standard Integer-100 has been bifurcated as 01) Sports Skill Test (SKT) for 80 Marks and 02) Evaluation of the  1) Sports Certificate for 20 Marks; 2) Sports Skill Test (Integer 80 Marks) 3) FIT (Suitable): 50 Marks or More;  4) UNFIT (Unsuitable): Lesser than 50 Marks

Selection Stages: Direct Recruitment of Skilled Sportspersons to the Posts of Constable Civilian Police in Uttar Pradesh Police consisting of 05 Stages including; Stage I: Sports Skill Test; Stage II: Document Verification; Stage III: Selection and Final Merit List; Stage IV: Medical Examination and Stage V: Character and Antecedent Verification.

Minimum Educational Qualification: The Meritorious Sports Persons for the Post Constable in Civil Police (CCP)/Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), Equestrian Police (EP) should have passed Intermediate (12th Standard) from the duly recognized Board established by Law.

Sports-related Qualification:

The Candidates should have participated in any of the following Sports Categories:
01. The National Sports; 02. The National Championship (Junior/Senior); 03. The National Federation Cup (Junior/Senior); 04. The All-India Inter-State Championship; 05. The All-India Inter-University Tournament; 06. The World School Sports (Under 19); 07. The National School Sports (Under 19); 08. The All India Police Sports Competition

In case the Candidate is recruited as Skilled Sportsperson on the basis of individual Outstanding Achievement but has not fulfilled the Minimum Educational Qualification, then He or She is admitted on the condition that he/she will complete the Minimum Education within 05 Years of Recruitment/ Appointment. During this period the Persons will continue to be treated as Probationary.

In case He or She fails to fulfill the Minimum Educational Qualification within 05 Years, he/she is liable to be discharged from the Service.
Any Sportsperson who has participated in the National / International Level, Junior or Senior Level Competition organized by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) or International Olympic Association (IOA) and their Affiliated Sports Federations or All-India Police Sports Competitions organized under the aegis of the All-India Police Sports Control Board or All India University (AIU) Competitions recognized by the All-India University Association (AIUA) who has earned Medals or may have participated in the last 02 Years of the Advertised Recruitment Year in any of the Sports Disciplines, then He / She would be recruited as Skilled Sportsperson.
