UPSC Recruitment 2022: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited Applications from the Experienced Candidates fulfilling the Eligibility for the Post of Assistant Architect (Asstt Arch) in the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MHUA).
Among the Applicants, those who deem to have fulfilled the Eligibility Criteria for the Assistant Architect Post in Central Public Works Department, and intend to submit their respective Candidature for General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial Post under Directorate General, Central Public Works Department, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, may proceed with the Online Registered Application (ORA) Process, following the ORA related Instructions.

Upper Age Limit: Not to exceed 30 Years for General Merit Candidates. Upper Age Limits are relaxable for the Candidates covered under Reserved Community.

Essential Qualification(s): The Applicant should have the following Essential Qualifications:
A) Education: i) Bachelor of Architect (B.Arch.)/Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from any duly recognized University or Institution.
Desirable: The Candidate must be Registered with the Council of Architecture (CoA) as an Architect.
Note 1: The Fore-stated Qualifications are Relaxable at UPSC’s discretion in case of the Candidates, otherwise, well-qualified.
Note 2: The Candidate’s Qualification(s) about the Experience is /are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC, for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of those belonging to the Scheduled Caste Community, if at any stage of the Selection, the UPSC is of the opinion that the sufficient number of the candidates from this Community having the Requisite Experience are Unlikely to be available for filling up the vacancies reserved for them.
Union Public Service Commission Recruitment Test Selection and Other Criteria to be exercised are explained hereunder:

Note-II: In the event of Applications received in a large number submitted by the Applicants/Candidates, the Union Public Service Commission will adopt the Shortlisting Criteria in order to restrict the number of Eligible Candidates to be called for the Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:
a) “On the basis of Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs) if more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed.”
b) On the basis of Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum Prescribed in the UPSC’s Recruitment Notification.
c) On the basis of Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum Prescribed in the Recruitment Notification..
d) By counting the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquiring Essential Qualifications.
e) By invoking Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as an Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as a Desirable Qualification (DQ).
f) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).
Therefore the Candidate should mention all His or Her Qualifications and Experience in the relevant Field over and above the Minimum Qualifications.
Note-III: Important Points:
Viva-voce / Personality Test weighing Total 100 Marks with Category-specific and Community-wise Minimum Qualifications to be obtained by the Candidates is explained as hereunder:
i) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is made only through Interview or by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Interview, shall remain as explained in the subsequent Part:
a) Un-Reserved Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks to be secured out of Aggregate 100 Marks; b) Economically Weaker Sections 50 Marks. c) Other Backward Community: 45 Marks; c) Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBDs): 40 Marks.
ii) In cases where Selection is conducted through a Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will have to essentially achieve the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories at the Interview Stage.

Application Fee and Mode of Payment:
a) The Candidates shall need to pay an Application Fee of Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five only) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India through Cash or by using the Net-banking Facility of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card or RuPay Card.
b) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBD) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempt from paying the Application Fee.
