UPSC Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited Applications from Retired Officers meeting the Eligibility for Contractual Based Appointment on Assistant Section Officer (ASO) Level Consultant Posts. As per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, there are 27 Positions to be filled up with Appointment of Suitable Officers (Contractual) in the USPC Head Quarter.
Based on the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, among the Retired Central Government Servants and those nearing Retirement up to 28.02.2023 as Assistant Section Officers/Equivalent-Level from any Ministry/Ministerial Department/its Attached/Subordinate Offices are Eligible to apply for preparation of a Panel for Engagement as Consultants at Assistant Section Officer Level in the Head Office of the Union Public Service Commission.
According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification issued, the Last Date for the Eligible Candidates with Willingness to complete the Application Submission in the Prescribed Specimen Application Proforma (only) shall close on 28th February 2023 (28.02.2023).
As per the UPSC Recruitment 2023, there are 27 Vacancies to be filled up with Contractual Appointment ASO Level Consultant Position.

The Remuneration payable to the ASO Level Consultant shall be calculated by deducting the Pension from the Basic Pay drawn at the time of Retirement.
As has been mentioned in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Maximum Age Limit prescribed (as on 01.02.2023) is hereunder:
Maximum Age Limit: 62 Years
The Eligible Candidates with Willingness should:
I) Have retired as Assistant Section Officer or Equivalent Level from any Ministry/Department or its attached or Subordinate Offices of the Central Government
II) Have sound knowledge of Service Rules, Regulations, Noting and Drafting
III) Have the Working Knowledge of Computer Application required in day-to-day functioning of Office.
Selection on Assistant Section Officer Level Consultant Posts shall be through Personal Interaction/ Interview/Viva-voce. The Candidates to be called in for Interview will be shortlisted through Scrutiny of the Applications received.
Engagement of the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) Level Consultants will be purely On Contract Basis. Application received in response to this Advertisement will be shortlisted on the basis of the Applicants’ Experience and Qualification. The Assistant Section Officer Level Consultants will be selected from shortlisted Candidates.
According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Eligible Candidates intending to apply must submit their respective Applications in the Specimen Proforma.
The Applicants should submit Duly completed Applications together with the following Documents:
a) Photocopy of Retirement Notification
b) Photocopy of Pension Payment Order (PPO)
c) Photocopy of Last Pay Certificate
d) Photocopy of Identity Card in case will be retiring by the Last Date of Application Receipt.
e) Photocopy of PAN Card and Aadhar Card (Mandatory)
f) Photocopy of Last 02-Years’ Annual Performance Appraisal Report
