UPSC Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has called in Online Applications from the Candidates Eligible for Multiple Posts in various Organizations notified vide this UPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement for the purpose.  According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, there are 43 Vacancies inclusive of the Posts earmarked for the Un-Reserved Category Candidates and Reserved Community Candidates..

The Eligible Candidates with Willingness for the notified Posts under Pay Level 07 of the Pay Matrix of 7th Central Pay Commission. in the Ministry of Mines may apply Online as is mentioned in this UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification. The Last Date for the Intending Candidates to complete the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) Process up to the  17th March 2023 (17.03.2023) vide the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification issued for the purpose.

As has been mentioned in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Administrative Officer Post to be filled up is under the Pay Scale Level 07, 08, 11 and 12 under 7th Central Pay Commission.

As per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, Post-Selection those selected as Administrative Officers shall be issued Appointment under the Varying Pay Scales Applicable to the Posts:

As mentioned in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification following are the Pay Scale with Level or Posts 01 up to 08 explained hereunder :

  • Pay Scale: Level- 07 as per 7th CPC
  • Pay Scale: Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC Plus NPA
  • Pay Scale: Level-11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC Plus NPA

Upper Age Limits under UPSC Recruitment 2023:

As per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, the following Category-wise and Reserved Community-specific Age Limits are prescribed:

In accordance with the UPSC Recruitment 2023, the General Category should be aged as mentioned in against each Post to be filled up.

Age Limit: 33** Years  (Post 01)

Age Limit: 30 Years (Post 02)

Age Limit: 40 Years (Post 03 up to 07)

Age Limit: 30 Years (Post 08)

1) The Un-Reserved Applicant should not exceed (Maximum)  on the Closing Date of the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification.

2) The Upper Age Limitation remains Relaxable for Regularly Appointed Central Government/Union Territory Government Servants up to 05 Years as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.

3) For Age Concessions applicable to some other Categories of Applicants, do refer to the relevant Paragraphs of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection’ of the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.

Eligibility Criteria for the USPC Recruitment 2023:

The Eligibility comprising the Educational Qualification(s) and Experience essential as per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification for the Applicants are as follows:

According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Eligibility comprising the Essential Qualifications and Experience shall remain as explained hereunder:

Education: Chartered Accountant/Cost and Management Accountant/Chartered Financial Analyst/Master of Business Administration (Finance)/Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Finance)/ Company Secretary from any Accredited University or institute.

Desirable: 02-Years’ Experience in the field of Capital Markets.

Recruitment Post 02:

As notified in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notifications, the Posts to be filled up are under Post Classifications: i) General Central Service Group “B” Gazetted, Non-Ministerial  AND ii) General Central Service Group “B” Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

Essential

A) Education Qualifications:

i) Bachelor’s Degree from any Duly Recognized University with Kannada as a Major Subject.

ii) Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science/Library and Information Science from any Duly Recognized University/Institute;

B) Experience: 02-Years’ Professional Experience in a Library under Central Government/ State Government/Autonomous/Statutory organization/ Public Sector Undertaking/University/Recognized Research/Educational Institution.

Desirable:

i) Master’s Degree from any Duly Recognized University with Kannada as a Major Subject

ii) Master’s Degree in Library Science/Library and Information Science from any Duly Recognized University/Institute.

Appointment nature: The Post is Permanent but initially to be filled up on a Temporary Basis. Post Classification: Central Health Service, Non-Teaching Specialist Sub-Cadre Group “A”

Recruitment Post 03:

Essential Qualifications:

A) Educational Qualification:

i) A recognized MBBS Degree accredited by the Indian Medical Council Act 1956, (102 of 1956).

ii) Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in the Specialty of Super-Specialty concerned; Or Doctor of Medicine (Radiology); Or Master of Surgery (Radiology); Or Diplomate National Board (Radiodiagnosis/Radiology); Or Diploma in Medical Radio Diagnosis (DMRD) or Equivalent Diploma.

B) Experience: 03-Years’ Experience in the concerned Specialty/Super-Specialty after obtaining the 1st Post-Graduate Degree/05-Years’Experience after obtaining the Post-Graduate Diploma.

Essential Qualifications:

A) Education:

i) A recognized MBBS Degree Qualification

ii) Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned Specialty of Super-Specialty 

Recruitment Post 05:

Essential Qualifications:

A) Educational:

i) The Indian Medical Council accredited MBBS Degree;

ii) Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned Specialty of Super-Specialty

B) Experience: 03-Years’ Experience in the concerned Specialty or Super-Specialty after obtaining the first Post-Graduate Degree or 05-Years’ experience after obtaining the Post-graduate Diploma.

Recruitment Post 06.

Essential Qualifications:

A) Educational: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution or pass in Section A and Section B of the Associate Membership Examination in Electrical Engineering branch from Institution of Engineers (India); and

B) Experience: 10-Years’ Professional Experience in Generation, Transmission or Distribution of Electricity or Maintenance of Electrical Equipment (including Minimum 02-Years’ Experience in Electrical Engineering in Direct relation to Plant and Equipment used in Mining).

Note-I Only those Candidates having enrolled for Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) up to 31.05.2013 are Eligible to be considered to the Post Deputy Director of Mines Safety (Electrical) (Direct Recruitment) and the Candidates having got enrolled on or after 01.06.2013 for the AMIE are Ineligible

Desirable: Post-Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering from any Accredited University /Institution.

Recruitment Post 07:

Essential Qualifications:

A) Educational: Master’s Degree in Ore Dressing or Mineral Processing or Geology/Physics /Chemistry from any Accredited University/Institution; Or Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in Mineral Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Metallurgy from any Duly Recognized University/Institution.

B) Experience: 07-Years’ Experience in a Recognized Laboratory/plant of Central Government/State Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Recognized Research Institutions/ Autonomous Bodies or Statutory Organizations conducting Mineral Beneficiation and/or Mineral Characterization for beneficiation of various Ores and Minerals.

Desirable: Doctorate Degree in Ore Dressing/Geology/Mineral Processing/Physics/Chemistry from Accredited University; Or Master of Technology in Mineral Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Metallurgy from any Duly Recognized University/Institution.

Recruitment Post 08:

Essential Qualifications:

A) Educational: Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology/Economics/Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering from Accredited University/ Institute.

B) Experience: 02-Years’ Experience in the field of Mining/Compilation/Processing of Data, pertaining to Mining/Geology/Utilization and Marketing of Minerals and their products in any Organization dealing with Mines and Minerals; Or in a Government Department dealing with Mines and Minerals.

Note: The Qualifications and the Qualification in regard to Experience in case of Candidates otherwise well-qualified, are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission.

Selection Process for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

Based on the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification issued, the Union Public Service Commission shall carry out the Recruitment Test Selection and Other Criteria with reference to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification and are also explained hereunder:

Recruitment Methodology:

In the event of the Applications received relatively in a large number from Applicants, the Union Public Service Commission will adopt the Shortlisting Criteria to restrict the number to only Eligible Candidates to be called in for the Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:

a) “Based on the Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs) if more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.

b) On the basis of Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Notification.

c) Based on Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.

d) By reckoning the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquiring Essential Qualifications of the Candidate Applicants.

e) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as Desirable Qualification (DQ).

f) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).

Note-II: Important Points:

Viva-voce/Personality Test carries Total 100 Marks explained hereunder:

i) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is conducted only through Interview or by holding a Recruitment Test (RT) to be followed by the Interview, shall remain as hereunder:

a) Un-Reserved Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks to be secured out of Aggregate 100 Marks

b) Economically Weaker Sections 50 Marks

c) Other Backward Community: 45 Marks

d) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste/Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBD/s): 40 Marks.

ii) In cases where Selection is carried through by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will have to attain the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories in the course of the Interview Stage.

Application Fee for USPC Recruitment 2023:

Following is the Category-wise Application Fee and Payment Gateway for remittance by the Applicants:

I) The General Category/EWS/OBC Candidates shall have to pay the Application Fee Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five only) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India in Cash or by using the Net-Banking Facility of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card Payment Gateway.

II) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBDs) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempted from payment of the Application Fee.
