Vodafone Idea Discloses GST Demand of Rs. 4.15 Crore Under Section 73 of CGST Act The Vodafone Idea Limited, one of India's leading telecommunications service providers, received a penalty order of Rs 41,551,496 along with applicable interest and demand by the Deputy Commissioner, Large Taxpayer Unit, West Bengal. This disclosure was made by Vodafone Idea Limited under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (“SEBI Regulations”). Through which, the company was informed about the receipt of the demand order on December 22, 2025.
UltraTech Cement Receives Rs. 390.95 Crore GST Demand Order from Tax Authority
The company added that the tax department issued the demand order under section 73 of the CGST/SGST Act 2017, accusing excess availment of Input Tax Credit (ITC) and payment of tax under the wrong head, etc. The company further added that the financial impact on the company would be the payment of the tax demanded along with applicable interest and penalty. However, the company does not agree with the order and believes it is not justified. Accordingly, the Company will take appropriate steps to get the order corrected or reversed. Link
