Vodafone Idea has been fined Rs 2 lakh by TRAI for failing to meet prescribed quality-of-service benchmarks across certain service areas in October 2025.
Vi Faces Rs 2 Lakh TRAI Penalty

Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has received an order from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) imposing a financial disincentive of Rs 2 lakh for failing to meet certain quality-of-service benchmarks.
The order was received by the company on September 14, 2026. According to the company’s disclosure to the stock exchanges, the penalty relates to violations recorded across different service areas during October 2025 under TRAI’s quality-of-service regulations for wireline, wireless and broadband services.
Vodafone Idea said the action was taken after it failed to meet the prescribed benchmarks for certain Quality of Service (QoS) parameters.
The company said the maximum financial impact from the order will be limited to the Rs 2 lakh penalty imposed by TRAI. Vodafone Idea is currently reviewing the order and evaluating its next steps in the matter.
The company made the disclosure under Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Regulations.
