Late fees on linking PAN-Aadhaar

The Due Date to link PAN and Aadhaar is 31st March 2023 and Late fees of Rs. 1000 is applicable on linking Permanent Account Number (PAN) and Aadhaar card. Now your PAN card will become in-validate if you fail to link your PAN with your aadhaar before the due date.

What if your PAN becomes Inoperative?

Many people say that if they are not required to file Income Tax Returns (ITR), PAN-Aadhaar linking is not necessary. But that's not the case. If your PAN is not linked with the Aadhaar Card It becomes Inoperative from 1st April 2023. If your PAN is invalid, you cannot file ITR, get a Tax Refund, access Financial Services, open a Bank or Demat Account, apply for Credit/Debit Cards etc.
