WBPSC Recruitment 2022: West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has invited Applications from Candidates fulfilling Mandatory Eligibility including Educational Qualification in reference to Recruitment for the Posts of Junior Engineers (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) in West Bengal Subordinate Service of Engineers (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) under various Departments, Directorates, other Offices and Establishments of the West Bengal Government.

Public Service Commission, West Bengal shall notify the Vacancy post announcement of the Result of the Preliminary Test/Main Written Examination in respect of the Junior Engineer Recruitment Examination (JERE) 2022.

Among the Eligible Candidates, those who meet the Eligibility for Junior Engineer Recruitment Examination 2022 and are Intending to be Applicants, may apply following the WBPSC Junior Engineer Recruitment Examination-2022.

7th December 2022 (07.12.2022) is the End-Date for the Candidates’ to complete the Online Application Process with submission of Scanned Signatures, Photographs, and Uploading Documents and Payment of the Examination Fee and 8th December 2022 is the Last Date for Payment in Offline Mode.

Note: The Eligible Candidates should Carefully Read the Available Instructions before filling out Individual Online Applications clubbed with all the Self-attested Documents including the Certificates relating to the Academic Qualifications, Service Experience Certificates, among others Mandatory to be submitted.

Selection Process:  Selection into the Junior Engineer Posts consists of 02 Stages; Stage 1: Main Written Examination and Stage 2: Interview.

1. The Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the Results of the Written Examination will be called for the Interview.

2. There shall be No Qualifying Marks in the Personal Interview.

3. WB Public Service Commission will prepare a Common Final Merit List based on the Marks obtained in the Written Examination and Interview taken together

Age Limits (As on 01.01.2022): The Un-Reserved Category Candidates should not Exceed (Maximum) 36 Years. The Upper Age Relaxations in the case of Reserved Community Candidates as per the Rules Applicable.

Educational Qualification:  A) For Junior Engineers (Civil) in West Bengal Subordinate Service of Engineers (Civil):

Educational Qualification:  Diploma in Civil Engineering from the State Council for Engineering and Technical Education (SCETE), West Bengal or Equivalent thereof.

B) For Junior Engineers (Mechanical) in West Bengal Subordinate Service of Engineers (Mechanical)

Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the State Council for Engineering and Technical Education, West Bengal or its Equivalent.

C) For Junior Engineers (Electrical) in West Bengal Subordinate Service of Engineers (Electrical)

Educational Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the State Council for Engineering and Technical Education, West Bengal or its Equivalent.

Desirable: The Candidate must

i) be a Bona fide Citizen of India

ii) have the Ability to Read, Write and Speak in Bengali (not required for those Candidates whose Mother-tongue is Nepali)  vide Finance Department’s Notification No.1243-F(P) Dated 02.03.2016.

iii) have Sound Health and Good Character and suitability in all respects for Appointment into the West Bengal State Government Service

Examination Fee and Payment Mode:

i) Rs. 160.00 Plus Service Charge 1% of Examination Fee subject to Minimum of Rs.5.00 for Online Payment to be paid through Debit/Credit Card Plus Service Charge/GST As Applicable as Government Duty or Service Charge of Rs.5.00 for Net Banking or Service Charge of Rs.20.00 for Payment through Bank Counter (Offline Payment)

ii) Reserved Community Candidate Exempted Payment of Examination Fee.
