Chennai Customs Arrests 5 Passengers at Airport for Smuggling Gold Bars Worth Rs. 64.82 Lakhs
On 19.02.2022, Chennai Customs AIU Officers intercepted 05 passengers arriving by flight FZ-475 from Dubai
Based on specific information, Custom officials searched the passengers and seized 1.4 Kilograms of Gold Cut Bars worth Rs. 64.82 Lakhs.
Smuggled gold bars of 24k purity weighing 1.4 Kilograms were concealed in the passenger’s luggage.
Custom officials seized 1.4 Kgs of Gold Cut Bars valued Rs. 64.82 lakh under the CA,1962.
The passengers are under custody, further investigation is under process.
