The least number of holidays is in June as per the list of holidays released by the Reserve Bank of India. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), there are some days in June 2022, when the banking operations will remain closed, but the activities related to online banking will continue to function. Banks in both sectors i.e., public and private sectors, will remain close for six days in June.

By the list of holidays released by RBI, the holidays are only on the second and fourth Saturdays, and Sundays. There are no holidays for festivals, as there are no festivals in June. Therefore, if you are planning to go to the bank for your work, and to avoid any kind of hassle, just make sure that you confirm with your local branch for any kind of holiday. There are three brackets under which the holidays are placed by the Reserve Bank of India and those brackets are Banks’ Closing of Accounts, Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Acts, and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday. But, there should be one thing to be noted banks will remain shut on account of different holidays in different cities or states.

2nd June: Maharana Pratap Jayanti

15th June: Y.M.A Day/Guru Hargobind Ji’s Birthday/Raja Sakranti

Besides these bank holidays, the holidays on the second and fourth Saturday, and Sundays of this month are on the following dates:

5th June: Sunday

11th June: Second Saturday

12th June: Sunday

19th June: Sunday

25th June: Fourth Saturday

26th June: Sunday

The days for which the holidays are mentioned will be seen in multiple regions concerning the holidays declared by the state, however, banks will remain close all over the country for gazetted holidays.
