ED Attached Two Properties worth Rs.13.63 Crore in Illegal Coal Mining Case

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has provisionally attached two properties situated at Gopinathpur, Purba Bardhaman (West Bengal) to the tune of Rs. 13.63 Crore of M/s Indo-American Electricals Limited {Beneficially owned by M/s LTB Infra consultant Pvt. Ltd. in which Vinay Mishra & Vikas Mishra are directors and shareholders} by Provisional Attachment Order 21/2022 dated 19/07/22 in illegal coal mining case under the provisions of the PMLA, 2002.

Vinay Mishra & Vikas Mishra @ Chotu delivered POC of Rs. 731 Crore with the help of business associates of Anup Majee @ Lala during period from July, 2018 to March, 2020.

On the basis of CBI, Kolkata FIR No. RC0102020A0022 dated 27/11/2020, ECIR was filed in this matter on November 28, 2020. In the past, the Directorate of Enforcement has searched 56 locations and attached assets totaling Rs. 204.64 crore in response to 7 attachment orders issued against Anup Majee and other accused parties in accordance with the PMLA, 2002. Additionally, the Directorate has so far detained three people, and on May 13, 2021, a complaint for criminal prosecution was submitted.

The case is still under investigation.
