NIA Recruitment 2022: The Office of Deputy Inspector General (Administration) has invited Applications from Eligible Candidates with Willingness in reference to the Engagement/Empanelment of Deputy Legal Advisor and Senior Public Prosecutors (SPPs) on Deputation for ISTC National Investigation Agency (NIA), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), New Delhi.

Amongst such Competent Advocates, who deem to have duly met the Eligibility Criteria, and intend to apply for the Opted Posts; i) Deputy Legal Advisor and ii) Senior Public Prosecutors, then they may proceed with applying as per the Instructions explained against the Posts in the Prescribed Proforma together with the Testimonials receivable with the Timeline notified by the Office of the Dy Inspector General (Administration). There are 09 (03+06) Vacancies for 1) Deputy Legal Advisor and 2) Senior Public Prosecutor Posts.

Essential Documents for Submission: Eligible Applicants should complete the Applications in all respects and append the Requisite Documents/Testimonials; including the Confidential Report (CR) Dossier; viz., a) Retirement Proof; b) Educational Certificates; c) Serving Experience, d) Pension Pay Order (PPO), e) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), f) Preceding 03 Years’ Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) /Annual Performance Assessment Reports (APARs) countersigned by the Cadre Controlling Authority or the Head under the Employer Organization.

Selection Process: The National Investigation Agency upon Detailed Scrutiny of the Applications received and Candidates’ Antecedents furnished in the Applications, shall screen the Input for shortlisting only Eligible Candidates for Personal Interaction and would summon such Persons to report with the Essential Testimonials for Interaction.

Tenure: Among Eligible Candidates selected as into the Posts 1) Deputy Legal Advisor and 2) Senior Public Prosecutors, they will be offered Appointment on Mutually Agreed Terms and Consent thereto.

Eligibility:

1) Deputy Legal Advisor

Post Classification: General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted (Non-Ministerial)

Pay Scale: Level 12 in the Pay Matrix of (Rs. 78800 to Rs. 209200) (Pay Band 3 (Rs.15600-39100) with Grade Pay Rs. 7600 (Pre-Revised)

Eligibility: Officer rendering Service in Central Government/ State Government/Recognized Research Institution/Central Public Sector Undertaking/ Recognized Research Institutions/Universities/Semi-Government/Statutory and Autonomous Bodies

a.i) Holding Analogous Post(s) on a Regular Basis; Or

ii) with 05 (Five) Years’ Service in that Grade on Regular Basis

Also

b) Educational Qualification: Legum Baccalaureus or Bachelor of Legal Laws from any Duly Recognized University.

Experience: 10 Years’ Experience in Prosecution of Criminal Cases.

2) Public Prosecutors (Contractual Basis):

Post Classification: General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted (Non-Ministerial)

Pay Scale: Level 11 in the Pay Matrix of (Rs. 67700 to Rs. 208700) (Pay Band 3 (Rs.15600-39100) with Grade Pay Rs. 6600 (Pre-Revised)

 

Eligibility: Officer rendering Service in Central Government/ State Government/Recognized Research Institution/Central Public Sector Undertaking/ Recognized Research Institutions/Universities/Semi-Government/Statutory and Autonomous Bodies

a.i) Holding Analogous Post(s) on a Regular Basis; Or

ii) with 05 (Five) Years’ Service in that Grade on Regular Basis

Also

b) Educational Qualification: Legum Baccalaureus or Bachelor of Legal Laws from any Duly Recognized University.

Experience: 08 Years Experience in the Prosecution of Criminal Cases.

 The National Investigation Agency, Ministry of Home Affairs, may rescind the Incumbent’s Engagement at any time without assigning any reason.
