UPSC Recruitment 2023: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting applications from eligible Indian candidates for the post of Assistant Mining Engineer on a permanent basis. As per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 official notification, there are 34 vacancies for the post of Assistant Mining Engineer.

Qualification Required for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

Candidates should have a Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution. Candidates having a Master of Engineering or Master of Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution will be given preference.

Experience For UPSC Recruitment 2023:

Candidates should have 02 (Two) years of experience in core Mining activity in-
(a) Supervisory position in Metalliferous (Non-coal) mines which includes the period as graduate or management or Junior Trainee Engineer, or
(b) Government Department dealing with mines and minerals in Level 6 in the pay matrix (Rs 35400- 112400) or above.
Note- (i) The qualification is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
(ii) The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste & Scheduled Tribe, if any stage of selection, the Commission is of the opinion that a sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
