UPSC Recruitment 2023 for 69 Vacancies: Check Posts, Qualification and How to Apply
UPSC Recruitment 2023: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is looking for eligible candidates for the posts of Regional Director, Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Ore Dressing Officer, Assistant Mineral Economist (Intelligence), Assistant Mining Engineer and Youth Officer. As mentioned in the official notification of UPSC recruitment 2023, there are a total of 69 vacancies for the given post. Per the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2023, the age limit is different for every post given below in the article. As mentioned in the official notification of UPSC recruitment 2023, the selected candidates will be given a monthly salary in level 12/11/10/ of the pay matrix as per the 7th CPC.
The persons selected will be appointed on probation as per the rule. Candidates will be selected on the basis of interviews. According to the official notification of UPSC recruitment 2023, eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of UPSC. Candidates have to pay Rs. 25 as an application fee and Female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates are exempted from payment of the fee. The online application starts from 25th March 2023.

As given in the official notification of UPSC recruitment 2023, the maximum age limit is given below-
For Regional Director- The maximum age limit is 55 years.
For Assistant Commissioner- The maximum age limit is 40 years.
For Assistant Ore Dressing Officer and Assistant Mineral Economist (Intelligence)- The maximum age limit is 35 years.
For Assistant Mining Engineer and Youth Officer- The maximum age limit is 30 years.
As per the official notification of UPSC recruitment 2023, the selected candidates will be given a monthly remuneration as given below-
For Regional Director- The selected candidates will be given a monthly salary in level 12 of the pay matrix.
For Assistant Commissioner- The selected candidates will be given a monthly salary in level 11 of the pay matrix.
For Assistant Ore Dressing Officer and Assistant Mineral Economist (Intelligence)- The selected candidates will be given a monthly salary in level 10 of the pay matrix.
For Assistant Mining Engineer and Youth Officer- The selected candidates will be given a monthly salary in level 7 of the pay matrix.
Candidates applying for UPSC recruitment 2023 must have the given below qualifications-
For Regional Director- M.Sc. in Microbiology from a recognized University or Institute; or M.Sc. in Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology or Microbiology or Mycology from a recognized University or Institute; OR M.Sc. in Agriculture with specialization in Soil Science or Agricultural Chemistry or Agronomy or Microbiology or Plant Pathology or Horticulture or Agricultural Extension from a recognized University or Institute.
For Assistant Commissioner- Master’s Degree in Agronomy or Agriculture with Agronomy as a subject or Agricultural Chemistry or Soil Science or Agricultural Extension or Agricultural Economics or Agriculture Botany or; Master’s Degree in Botany or Forestry or Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
For Assistant Ore Dressing Officer- Masters Degree in Ore Dressing or Mineral Processing or Geology or Physics or Chemistry from a recognized University or Institute OR Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree in Mineral Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy from a recognized University or Institute.
For Assistant Mineral Economist (Intelligence)- Masters’s Degree in Applied Geology or Geology or Economics or Bachelors’s Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
For Assistant Mining Engineer- Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
