Monthly Salary under Indian Railway Recruitment 2023:

According to the Indian Railway Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Candidates selected as Assistant Loco Pilot will be entitled to the Monthly Salary with the Grade Pay Rs. 1900 in Pay Level 2 explained hereunder:

Only Serving Regular Railway Personnel/Employees of the North Western Railway working in following Grade Pay/Pay Level are Eligible:

i) Lower than the Grade Pay/Pay Level for which GDCE is being held.

ii) Same Grade Pay/Pay Level Scale for which the General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) is being held, will be allowed to appear in Selection for Non-Safety to Safety Category Posts as well as Safety to Safety Category Posts.

iii) The Stipend admissible during the Training Period shall be Rs. 19900 (Level-2) Usual Allowance as admissible Per Month (As per RBE No. 08/2017).

Age Limits for Indian Railway Recruitment 2023:

As per the Indian Railway Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the Un-Reserved Category Candidates as on 01.07.2023 should be aged as mentioned hereunder:

Age Limit: i) The Upper Age Limit is 42 Years for General Merit Candidates.

ii) Age Relaxations for Reserved Community Candidates as per the Government of India Rules.

Eligibility for Indian Railway Recruitment 2023:

According to the Indian Railway Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Candidate should have the following Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:  10th/Matriculation Pass With

Technical Qualification: I) ITI/Act Apprenticeship Passed in Trade i) Fitter; ii) Electrician; iii) Instrument Mechanic; iv) Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic; v) Mechanic (Radio & TV); vi) Electronics Mechanic; vii) Mechanic (Motor Vehicle); viii) Wireman; ix) Tractor Mechanic; x) Armature & Coil Winder; xi) Mechanic (Diesel; xii) Heat Engine; (Or)

Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobiles Engineering in lieu of the ITI. The Candidates with combinations of various Trade Streams of Engineering prescribed as above to be considered for Employment on the Railways in terms of Board’s Instructions contained in RBE no 162/2001 Dated 20/08/2001 subject to the provisions contained in the Board’s Letter No. E(NG)II/2005/RR-1/8 Dated 28/08/2014 and 30/09/2015.

Selection Procedure under Indian Railway Recruitment 2023:

1) Selection on Assistant Loco Pilot Post will be conducted strictly in order of Merit. Those shortlisted in the Computer-Based Test/Written Examination would be called in to appear for Document Verification.

2) The Computer-Based Test/Written Examination will be conducted in Single/Two Stages.

3) The Computer-Based Test/Written Examination will have Objective-Type Multiple Choice Type Questions with a Negative Marking of 0.33 or 1/3 of the Allotted marks for each Multiple Choice Question.

4) The Employees under the General Departmental Competitive Examination will have to pass/qualify Aptitude Test.

5) The Selected Employees under the General Departmental Competitive Examination will have to pass the Prescribed 17 Weeks’ Training Course as per the RBE No. 08/2017, prior to Appointment to the Assistant Loco Pilot post for which they are selected.
