Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has sought Online Applications from Youth (Male and Female Gender) Candidates Eligible for Recruitment on Assistant Commandants (Group ‘A’) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) vide the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification Dated 26.04.2023. The Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification issued has occurred with 322 Vacancies to be filled through Recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces involving an All-India Competitive Written Examination to be held.

Based on the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Online Registration is in progress from 26.04.2023. The Last Date for Online Application submission shall terminate on 16.05.2023. The Union Public Service Commission will conduct an All India Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination-2023.

Post and Vacancies in Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023:

Based on the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, there have occurred 322 Vacancies to be filled up, as has been narrated hereunder:

Notified 322 Vacancies shall be filled up based on the Results of the All India Competitive Examination:

CAPFs (Central Armed Police Forces) Assistant Commandants (Group ‘A’) with 322 Vacancies

I) Border Security Force (BSF): 86 Vacancies

II) Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 55 Vacancies

III) Central Industrial Security Force(CISF): 91 Vacancies

IV) Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 60 Vacancies

V) Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 30 Vacancies

Age Limits for Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023:

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Un-Reserved Category Candidate, as on 01.08.2023, should be Minimum 20 Years and must not have attained the 25 Years, i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2003.

Relaxations in the Upper Age Limits for Reserved Community Candidates as per the Government of India Rules.

Relaxation in the Age Limits for Civilian Central Government Servants in accordance with the existing instructions of the Central Government. Ex-Service-Men as per the Government of India Rules.

Eligibility for Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023:

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Eligibility comprising Educational Qualification having been gained by the Applicant should be as narrated hereunder:

Minimum Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree from any Accredited University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or have in possession an Equivalent Qualification.

Physical Standards: The Candidates must satisfy the prescribed Physical and Medical Standards for Admission into the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2023 specified in Appendix-V of the MHA Recruitment 2023 Office Notification/Recruitment Notice.

Desirable Qualifications:

I) Possession of NCC (National Cadet Corps) ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificates:

II) Possession of NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate remains a Desirable Qualification. These Qualifications will be given consideration at the time of Interview/Personality Test only.

UPSC MHA CAPFs PET PST Recruitment

Selection Criteria under Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023:

The Selection Criteria for CAPFs Assistant Commandant Posts shall consist of 03 Stages followed by 4th Stage Merit List aimed at completing the Selection Process for Appointments under All-India Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2023, as follows:

1st Stage: OMR Based Answer Sheet for 450 Marks

2nd Stage: Physical Standard Test/Physical Efficiency Test

3rd Stage: Personality Test/Interview for 150 Marks

4th Stage: Final Selection/Merit: The Union Public Service Commission based on the Combined Marks secured in the CAPFs Written Examination 2023 for 450 Marks and Personality Test/Interview.

The Union Public Service Commission shall host on 06.08.2023 in 02 Shifts an All-India Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2023. The Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2023 slated to be held on 06.08.2023 comprises 02 Papers with Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions for 450 Marks (Paper-I for 250 Marks and Paper II for 200 Marks). The Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2023 involves Negative Marking applicable to the OMR Response Sheet Based Objective-Type MCQs Paper-I.

Minimum Qualifying Marks: There will be Minimum Qualifying Marks separately in each Paper, as may be fixed by the UPSC at its discretion. Paper-I will be evaluated First and Evaluation of Paper-II will be done only of those Candidates who obtain the Minimum Qualifying Marks in Paper-I. The Candidates shortlisted in the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2023 will be called in to appear for Physical Standards Test/Physical Efficiency Test, which is Mandatory to be qualified by the Candidates.

Personality Test/Interview (150 Marks): The Candidates shortlisted subject to securing the Minimum Pass Marks in the CAPFs Examination 2023 and qualifying the Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standards Test will be called in to appear for the Personality Test/Interview.

Final Selection/Merit: The Merit List will be drawn on the basis of the Marks obtained by the Candidates in the CAPFs Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test.

Examination Fee for Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023:

Based on the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the Requisite Examination Fee to be borne by General Category Candidates as follows:

Un-Reserved Category Candidate: Rs.200 (Rupees Two Hundred)

Payment Remittance Mode: Only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of State Bank of India or by of the E-Payment Gateway Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or by using Internet Banking of any Bank. Applicants who opt for “Pay by Cash” Mode should print the System generated Pay-in-Slip during Part II Registration and deposit the Examination Fee at the Counter of SBI Branch on the next Working Day only.

The Applicants need to register himself/herself First at the One-Time Registration (OTR) Platform, available at the UPSC ORA Link to proceed with filling up the Online Application for the Examination. The One Time Registration has to be registered only once in Lifetime. This may be done anytime throughout the Year. If the Candidate is already registered, then He/She may proceed straightway for filling up the Online Application for the All-India Competitive Examination.
