CBI arrests Chief Sanitary Inspector and Health Supervisor for accepting Bribe of Rs.1 Lakh

The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has arrested a Chief Sanitary Inspector, UT, Chandigarh and a Health Supervisor in a bribery of Rs.1 Lakh.

A complaint was filed against a Chief Sanitary Inspector of the UT of Chandigarh. It was stated that the accused wanted a payment in exchange for restoring the Complainant, who had been dismissed from the position of Sanitary Inspector (contract basis) owing to an accident.

CBI set a trap and apprehended the CSI and Health Supervisor while taking a Rs.1 lakh bribe. Both the accused’s homes were searched, resulting in the finding of damning papers.

Both apprehended suspects appeared in the Court of Special Judge, CBI Cases, Chandigarh, and were placed in judicial custody for 14 days.

In another case, the CBI detained a United India Insurance Company Ltd officer in Sirsa (Haryana) for asking and receiving a bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the complainant.

A complaint was filed against an officer of United India Insurance Company Ltd., Sirsa (Haryana), alleging bribery in exchange for passing the Complainant’s accident claim for the vehicles/taxi. The CBI set a trap for the accused while collecting a bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the complainant. Searches were undertaken at the accused’s residence, resulting in the seizure of damning papers.

The accused will be produced today in the Court of Special Judge, CBI Cases, Panchkula (Haryana).
