Time limit 30 Days for reporting invoice on E-Invoice portal applicable w.e.f. From 1st Nov

The National Informatics Centre has issued advisory for NEW Time limit for Reporting of Invoices on the IRP Portal.

It is to inform you that the GST Authority has decided to set a time limit of 30 days for reporting invoices on e-invoice portals from the date of invoice.

This time limit applies to taxpayers with an AATO of more than or equivalent to 100 crores. As a result, taxpayers in this group will be unable to record invoices that are more than 30 days old on the day of reporting.

Please note that this restriction will apply to the all document types for which IRNs are to be generated. Thus, the Credit / Debit note will also have to be reported within 30 days of issue from date of issue. For example, if an invoice has a date of Nov. 1, 2023, it cannot be reported after Nov. 30, 2023.

This validation will come into effect from 1st Nov, 2023.
